Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana

We had a great time and would definitely consider going back. The rooms were very nice, nothing to complain about, and the resort was super clean. The food was also great quality for a resort. The resort is really two in one. When the kids are at the kids club, which ours absolutely loved, you can head over to the adult only Zilara resort. There was plenty for them to do, with shows every day plus outdoor movies, which was a really nice touch. One note on the pools: if you don't book the club level, you're limited to a single pool, which can get repetitive after a week. If you're staying longer than a few days, I'd suggest the club upgrade to access the other pools. The one downside was the sargassum. We went in May and there was a lot of seaweed on the beach, the water looked like brown soup and the kids wouldn't go in. If you're traveling during sargassum season, just be aware the beach may not be great.

Rooms were nice, we could fit 5 of us with 2 queen beds and a pull-out. Only major bummer was the overcooked meats at the hibachi restaurant and outdoor BBQs. Kids loved the outdoor movies every night, silent disco and painting classes. Bars only had 1 bartender each so sometimes had to wait a bit for a drink (definitely move slower than US bartenders). The lazy river at the waterpark was anything but lazy, you got water dumped on you every few feet and the lifeguard was very strict about everyone being in a raft at all times (my 6 year old had to sit in our lap in the tube too). Overall nice vacation though.

We enjoyed Hyatt Cap Cana, we went during a sargassum episode so the beach wasn't being used. However, this didn't make the resort feel too busy. I also highly recommend purchasing club level. The experience for me was made by a wonderful bartender, Deidy, who went above and beyond from the drinks perspective.

Our family of five had an amazing week at this resort!! We did do club level and I think it was worth it, all of the staff was so friendly and helpful in many ways! The ocean wasn’t the best which we were expecting, but the pools are so great we didn’t really miss it too much! The entertainment staff around the pools and beach are so fun! Deiby one of the bartenders at the club pool was our go to, he is so kind and knows what he’s doing!! We loved the hibachi and Italian! The pizza by the pool daily was so nice! My kids loved the waterpark! We would definitely go back! Wonderful relaxing trip!

We celebrated our vow renewal at the Hyatt’s Ziva. From the welcome from Alexander, to the amazing Martha, Genesis and the wedding coordination team, we had an amazing time. The wedding team exceeded all of our expectations and more. We are so happy with the results and their attention to detail was perfect.

My husband and I traveled to Punta Cana for our anniversary and stayed at the Hyatt Zilara hotel a few days ago. When we found out there was a Peruvian fusion restaurant at the hotel called Shutters, we decided to go. Everything was delicious, and the staff was very friendly. But we especially want to highlight the service provided by Peruvian chef James Hawkins. He prepared some special dishes for our anniversary. The food was delicious, and the chef made us feel special. He came to our table to bring us the dishes personally. Everything was top-notch. We highly recommend Shutters restaurant. And the chef made us feel right at home and made our trip special. I took photos of some dishes from the menu and some of the chef’s creations.

The Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana was the perfect vacation spot for our multi-generational family. We had 11 in our group, ages ranging 2 thru 65. We were looking for a low maintenance location that would have something for everyone (from food to activities) and this was it! There was a plethora of dining options (buffet, sit down, pool side, themed). There was also a plethora of drinking options (with each having their own signature drink, even the restaurants had their own signature cocktails on their menus; try the peanut colada at the rum bar!). The littles loved the popsicles and ice cream at the coffee shop! The rooms were beautiful and well-appointed. We were club level so the endless snacks and drinks were appreciated by my husband and me in addition to our 2 teenagers! The swim-up room was a fun touch though we spent all of our time at the pool with the other family members. (If it had just been my husband and me, we probably would’ve used it more.) The staff was stellar. Reading about it in advance, I was expecting the service to be like a cruise minus the boat; however, the personalized service provided by the staff at the Ziva FAR exceeded the service on any cruise ship. Martin Jiminez was our butler and made our club level the perfect choice for us. With a quick message he assisted with rearranging 3 spa treatments, organized a quick trip to a golf course for my husband, made dinner reservations for 1 night, reserved a cabana, and a sprinkling of other little questions throughout the week. Top notch service yet again! During our stay, we had family photos taken. I didn’t know what to expect from a resort photographer, but Felix was the best! He captured all the different groupings we wanted in several different locations around the resort. One night, we had our own private beach dinner. This was the BEST decision we made! It was a beautiful night and the food was the best dinner we had the entire time. The 3 chef/weight staff were awesome, personable, and very hard-working. The activities staff, particularly Reibel – he was awesome, super friendly and fun! His water aerobics, in-pool music trivia, and beach volleyball gave us a nice break from our pool-side relaxing. Eduardo at the club swim-up bar was on top of things. His drinks were great and his service was fast. The women at the coffee shop knew our orders by the 3rd day. We really can’t say enough about this resort. I’m not one to go back to a vacation spot (the world is huge with lots to see!), but this is one to which I’d quickly return.

We had a fabulous stay at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana last week and our whole family wishes we were still there! The property and facilities are beautiful and perfect for families but what really stood out to us was the exceptional service and friendliness of the staff. The pool and water park were perfect for families and we did both every day. Our personal butler/concierge through the Club level, Christopher, was so kind, friendly and helpful. He found us on the property multiple times a day to check on us, efficiently assisted us with our needs and bookings, and made sure our stay met our expectations. At the Club pool bar Cocoonz, Deiby became our go-to bartender and he not only made the best drinks, but was so kind and friendly as well. Martha at the coffee shop always greeted us with a smile and was so patient with our kids constantly taking time to make up their minds about which treat they wanted. The spa facilities were amazing. All of the attendants made sure my every need was met, and I felt so pampered before my treatment even began. Crystal was my masseuse and she was fabulous! Truly one of the best massages I have had. Such a great experience. The Tempest Asian restaurant was great. Our food at hibachi and dining in was so good. Overall the rest of the food was fine, but we weren’t wow’ed by the food as a whole. We’ve had better food at adults only all inclusives but there was nothing terrible about any of our dining experiences. However, the service at every restaurant was excellent. The people at Ziva make the resort so special.
