Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana

We had a fabulous time! Especially loved our Butler Martin Jiménez, he was very friendly, happy and attentive! Always willing to serve and come through. We especially loved the evening atmosphere and entertainment. The waterpark was fun for even teens and adults! Fun atmosphere by pool all day. Only recomendación is We do wish there were some more options for dinner for families. There’s four adults only restaurants that would be nice if children could come. Two of the family restaurants serve seafood and Mediterranean that isn’t as appealing to kids.

Great resort. Staff goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and satisfied. Many options for families, couples, groups.

Our butler Katherine was exceptional. She took care of everything we asked for and even did things we didn’t think to ask for to surprise us.

We had an excellent multi-generation family trip at Hyatt Ziva in Punta Cana. We visited with our family and two sets of grandparents. This was our second visit to this resort and we chose to bring the grandparents, in part, because the size of the resort is easy to navigate without too much walking. It was such a hit that we are already planning another visit. We stayed in Club Ocean View rooms. The hotel accommodated our previous request for rooms to be close to each other, which was greatly appreciated. Juan was our butler and made sure we had everything we needed. His service is top notch, and he always managed to find us whether we were at the pool, breakfast, or beach! We will definitely request him next time. Rooms were clean, modern and impressive. No issues with humidity or dampness. I did bring along some suction cup hooks to put on the shower to help dry the kids bathing suits. While the air conditioning was strong, bathing suits take a while to dry and the extra hooks came in handy (pro-tip, pack a good amount of bathing suits, especially for the kids so they have time to dry). The pools were absolutely lovely. When we visited in May, chairs were consistently available in the back sections of the pool, but the pool side chairs went quickly. We rented a cabana each day as a "home base" since we had grandparents with us. Shout out to Geremi for constantly checking and making sure we had drinks, and Yefri for helping us get settled in the cabanas. They had excellent service and were a highlight of our trip. Beach had a lot of seaweed. The hotel does its best, but there was a lot in May. Breakfast at the Mercado (buffet) was excellent. Kids feasted on Chocolate Chip Pancakes every day. Overall the Mercado is quite impressive and has an immense variety of foods. We also enjoyed the Italian and asian restaurants, as well as the coffee shop (kids loved the afternoon cake pops!). We also did a photo session with the photographer and were very impressed with the outcome. The session is free and then you can purchase the digital images. Pricing was similar to a photography session at home, and the photographer had a keen eye for detail to make sure every shot came out great. Overall we highly recommend and can't wait to return!!!

Enjoyed the trip so much. The resort was great. Very accommodating. Everyone was so nice and felt very safe while visiting. Took kids on their senior trip and everyone had a great time. Resort was laid out perfect for them and for us as parents trying to keep in touch with them. Not too spread out. Would definitely visit again.

Our family had an amazing time at our first visit to the Hyatt Viza in Cap Cana. The resort was well maintained, very clean, walkable and had something for everyone in the family. The staff was also incredible, everyone was so helpful and nice and really took the time to make our family feel special and have a great trip. We chose the club level for this trip, and I think it was well worth it, the area for check in that also had easy access to coffee and snacks all day as well as the club pool was a great way to be sure that we would always have space but could easily get over to the main pool. The waterpark was also a big hit, there are slides that are fun for kids and adults and while we did not spend all of our time there, it was less than a 5 minute walk from the main pool, so easy to get to whenever there was an urge. Next to the waterpark was the kids club. Our youngest (8) was there a lot with friends that she made during the trip and on quite a few nights would go there for dinner, which ended up at the buffet, then outside for the movie where we would pick her up. It was a great way for her to get what she wanted for dinner and for the rest of us to be able to do something more adventurous! We visited during spring break, and while the resort was full, it was small enough where we did not have any issues with chair for the pool or anything longer than a 20-30 minute wait for dinners. Speaking of food, it was so good. There were plenty of options for everyone, and it was food that you really wanted to eat. The buffet area was really good and always an easy option and the lunches that were put together by the pool each day were a really great way to be able to get lunch without having to get out of pool clothes. The staff was really what made this trip what it was, and we want to be sure to call out the people who went above and beyond to create a great trip for our family. In the club pool Debiy at the bar was fantastic, the passion fruit mojitos are amazing and he always took the time to take care of the kids as well as adults. Luis V was working on the swim up side and was also great. Jose was a big help in the club area as well, making sure we had lunch ordered and getting our cabana setup for the day when we had one. At the inside club bar Keiber always had something fun to make for everyone and was great to talk with and get us ready for dinner. The team supporting events and sports really made this for our kids. They took so much time with everyone and there was always something to do. Aneuy probably threw 500 pitches in the batting cages per day, and Pablo was on the basketball court in the heat shooting around with the kids. Wilson was also amazing in the entertainment area, but Raibel stole the show. The energy that he has and passion for his work was amazing, he knew everyone and always called you by name and took the time to talk to everyone. A great guy, and a great asset to the team. Every day before dinner we would also see Glenys who made sure we had everything we needed in our room and could not have been a nicer person. Overall we had a great time and would recommend this resort to anyone!

The rooms, staff, resort, waterpark, pools, kids club, food, restaurants are all top notch. Plenty of activities via kids club to keep kids busy all day. Juan our butler was fantastic and always checking on us if my family and I needed anything. Overall great experience! Only downside was beach was not very swimmable due to seaweed, but they were really cleaning it up as best they could and this truly was out of their control due to Mother Nature.

For the most part my experience was great however, for what you pay for the drinks and food were terrible. The food was bland, tasted previously frozen and like cafeteria elementary school food. You couldn't even taste the alcohol in the drinks and I do not drink. If you go, I suggest shots only to get a buzz, then you can drink all the frozen or on the rocks sugar you would like.
