Omni Royal Orleans Hotel

A very good experience. Great location.

Public rooms very impressive. Bedrooms were a little tired. Wall paper in bathrooms peeling & could use some touch up paint.

Franchement l’accueil a été déplorable sans effort pour quelqu’un qui parle un anglais moyen La chambre avait un bruit de climatisation digne d’une piste d’aéroport Je me suis plaint à la direction qui m’a proposé de visiter deux autres chambres à des étages différents et toutes les chambres avaient de problème de nuisance sonore liée à une défaillance du système de ventilation de l’hôtel (niveau sonore 30 décibel : impossible de dormir avec ce bruit) L’hôtel est luxueux mais ce problème de bruit dans les hall et les chambres était insupportable J’avais réservé pour 3 nuits et j’ai demandé à repartir au bout d’une seule nuit La facture a été faite pour la nuit passée sans excuses ni geste commercial J’ai dû me débrouiller pour trouver un Uber pour déplacer mes bagages dans un autre hôtel à proximité

Extremely poor service. Placed laundry with bell desk at 8:30, well before the 9am deadline printed on the in-room forms. Told bell desk I needed it back that evening and he confirmed this was fine. 7pm no sign of laundry so I chase. Am told submission deadline is now 7:30am and the in-room forms are all wrong. So no clean laundry. Checkin staff never mention this info, bell staff don’t tell you, no effort to provide correct in-room info. You only find out when it’s too late. Would it be too difficult to notify guests of this basic information?Totally inept local management. In addition, hotel corridors and rooms very shabby with chipped paint and marked/torn wall coverings. Total disgrace for an Omni. This location is really not worthy of the brand.

The first two floors of the common area have been updated and are very nice. The Jazz bar seems forced, no need to pay for tix or reserve seating because you can hear it perfectly fine from the bar. The rooms are terribly dated. Loud doors, poor HVAC, out of date bathrooms. Location is great for all the things you’d want to do in and around the quarter.

Right in the heart of the bourbon street area and very close to the port of Orleans for our cruise!

Omni is very clean, beautiful, and right at the Quarter. This was my second stay. If you are traveling in warm months and want access to a pool, check to make sure it is open. We were allowed to use the pool at Hotel Montelone but each time we tried to get in, it was overflowing with people. No where to sit. This is not Omni’s fault but if I knew this would be a problem, we would have chosen somewhere else. The staff at the Omni could not have been more friendly or welcoming.

Beware! They closed the rooftop pool and bar without notifying us. During our 4 night stay our room was never cleaned, despite asking for service. I never leave reviews good or bad for anything (stays, products, restaurants, etc.) but this was such a poor experience I want to warn fellow travelers. My wife and travel often and this was by far the worst hotel experience I have had. One good point: the Bellmen were incredible nice and friendly, top notch service from them. Everything else was far from acceptable. No hot water one afternoon, elevators out of service, damp towels due to no ventilation.
