Omni Royal Orleans Hotel

This was not the "norm" for this hotel. The room was not up to par, the shower ceiling was disgusting, the fixtures had rust. You would think that the towels were gold because we had to beg for more. We love lounging by the pool but we were not informed that it wouldn't be open until we arrived-no cancellation option and paid in full. It did rain that weekend so I supposed we couldn't have used the pool but we felt it was "sneaky' and we should have been told. We go once or twice yearly and love this hotel but it is NOT the same as before...the room was hot. On a great note, the location is good and the doormen are very nice.

Perfect location, beautiful and clean facilities. We could walking around easily to see attractions and go to nice restaurants. I like the small convenience store for some early coffee and pastries.

The only thing I could say I didn’t like it is that we didn’t have space to store our toiletries in the bathroom/sink, but nothing that would depreciate the hotel.

I took my mother to see New Orleans for the first time and this hotel added so much to her fond memory of the city. For starter, the location is central to everything, and is a straight shot to the river. French Quarter is next block but there was no noise at night. The hotel awes in more than one ways: the stairs leading to the lobby, the decor, the old world beauty; and then there is the service. The service is top notch, warm and very genuine. Our room is also very nice. The in-room coffee maker wasn't working but that really didn't bother us. The large TV has on demand shows and regular TV but none to connect to Netflix or Amazon TV, etc., we expected it since we knew this is an older hotel. Bathroom is on the small side, but it has large mirrors and enough counter space for 2 women to spread out, and lots of towels. Can't complain! We dined at the Rib Room the first night and then the second night too lol because their half chicken is sooo tender and flavorful, and the wait staff was amazing. We had a good stay at Omni and needless to say, I have found the gem in NOLA to come back to!
