Spencer House

Beautiful house, perfect for the 6 of us. Our grandchildren loved having their rooms on the top floor. It was spacious, exceptionally clean, great shower and big beautiful bath and very comfy beds. We only ate breakfast there but the kitchen was fully equipped if we needed to cook a meal. We couldn't have had anything better. The additional touches of all the wonderful books and games was a bonus. Communication with the owner was great aswell.

Location was excellent, and house was well equipped even though we were out most of the time. Nice to have the yard for morning coffee. Beds were comfy and communication with Alistair was excellent

It was warm when we were there so was a little warm at night even with windows open - shouldn’t be a problem in “normal weather”. It’s on quite a busy road so obviously with windows open you hear it.

Fantastic location, wonderful hosts very attentive and helpful

The games in the “games cupboard “ all had bits missing and was a real mess , bit disappointing when we got a few of the games out and were unable to play them. It didn’t spoil our stay in any way but would recommend you take your own games if you want to play something

Location, cleanliness

The house was cleaned and well maintained.

Hosts were very helpful and eager to accommodate. Kids loved the "3 layer house" and enjoyed sleeping on the "top layer." Kitchen was well equipped for a family with young kids, including plasticware for the kids. Walking distance to city centre and to train station.

Good communication beforehand and when we arrived directly from the host.

Everything was perfect.

Lovely and clean, great location.

Stayed in February so was quite cold in the night. Maybe heating could be on more? Stairs are quite steep, so needed to be cautious.
