Perfect three-bedroom house in a quirky corner of York. We loved our stay at Spencer House, which has everything you need! We received a warm welcome from Alistair and even some homemade cake, and fresh milk in the fridge! The house is very spacious on three levels with big bedrooms, lounge and kitchen, perfect for families and couples. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine, plus free tea, coffee, oil etc. , and there’s even a little outdoor area that catches the sun in the afternoon.

Wasn‘t an issue for us but good to be aware that the stairs are quite steep to reach the upper bedrooms. Cars on the street can be quiet noisy but that didn’t bother us much and our baby slept well too!

Fantastic property with lots of comfort and character. Great location for local shops and close to town. Also benefitted from discount vouchers. Local Indian takeaway was great and also gave us some extra nibbles for being guests of the property. Great communication from the owners.

The house itself was beautifully decorated, combing modern elements with charing touches of York. Every room was spacious and has tasteful furniture. It was impeccably clean, creating an atmosphere of comfort nd relaxation

Excellent location and super accommodating hosts. Will definitely return to stay at Spencer House and have told all of my friends! Beautiful property with a lovely small outside bit which soaks up the sun, lovely kitchen and lounge space. The bedrooms were great too. Allowed us to leave our bags on arrival and a check out time that worked perfectly for our group.
