Lovely spacious clean home , everything you need to make your stay exceptional ,very welcoming, Large bedrooms , beautiful bathroom ,and plenty of tea and coffee. Was perfect for me and my friends , and nice touch lovely home made cake ,and milk in fridge on arrival , and beautiful lounge to sit in and chill of a evening ,lots of board games to choose from ,plenty of shops in the area a small walk ,and not far from York town we really enjoyed the Christmas markets would definitely stay again xx

The stairs were a bit steep ,and bedrooms were quite cold of a evening could of been warmer

Spencer House is a lovely spacious property. All of the bedrooms are good sizes. We found the house to be clean and comfortable and would definitely stay there again. We had no problem parking at the cheaper parking option at £7.50 per day and were able to pull down Spencer Street to offload luggage for 10 minutes as advised.

Spencer House is situated slightly further out of York than we have previously stayed. This was not a problem for us but could be for anyone struggling with their mobility. However; this also gave us the opportunity to discover more of York and visited places we hadn't been to before such as the Bar Convent. You are still very close to the walls and we walked past a lovely park (going towards the train station) which would be brilliant in the spring or summer

The hosts were great! Amazing communication. The house was lovely and very clean. Perfect location. There were also lovely little touches with fresh cake on arrival and stuff in so you can make a tea or coffee.

Lovely house, very well equiped with everything you need for self catering. House is in a great location with an amazing patisserie a few doors down and only a short 10 min walk from City Centre. Hosts were very good, kept in regular contact with us to make sure everything was ok, would highly recommend!
