GLOBALSTAY Modern Downtown Apartment

The apartment was nice but the check in process was a nightmare. Make sure to read the WhatsApp instructions carefully and be aware that you may end up staying in a different building than the one listed here!

This was worse place I ever stayed at. Horrible customer service. They changed our property location without informing us made us look for a key in a lock box by a parking lot. The oh cause so much information that is not needed for anyone to provide. To stay there. I was on the phones for half of my stay and the property refused to refund me for the inconvenience they have cause. I went for a concert and was supposed to be staying right across the street instead. I was staying at 11 minutes away. He had to pay for an Uber back-and-forth to the location that I needed to go to. I would not recommend staying here! Paid extra money and staying at Papa hotel with better customer service!!!

Check in took more then hour Internet didn’t work at the beginning but was fixed after. TV was broken and host was reluctant to fix it. Very hard to communicate with hosts. Very unresponsive.

The condo shows a view of the city. We booked and got a view of a wall and a dark laneway full of carbage containers

Overall good experience clean apartment

Firstly, they provided us with a different address than what we booked for. When asked, they said they had different buildings and it was only a 7 minute walk from where we thought we were staying - it was a 7 minute drive. Listing said that parking was available, we were advised parking was not available and had to pay $50+ to park for 1 night. Check in process was horrendous - had to find the correct lockbox in a sea of hundreds of lockboxes on the side of a street which took upwards of 20 minutes because they sent us the wrong picture for what ours looked like. When we finally found it, they made it seem like we were to blame for not finding the correct one fast enough. Communication was subpar - when asked if they had a phone number to call for help they ignored the message. Room itself was fine but the water pressure wasn’t great and bedroom bed was ridiculously uncomfortable. Wouldn’t recommend this what so ever.

I choose this room based on specific location in Toronto and how it looked (specially nice & open view). But when i was sent the check in details it was for a different property, location in Toronto and instead I got a view directly into an office building. I reached out to GlobalStay and they were unhelpful and told me to contact Hotels.com. Instead of assisting and trying to resolve the matter helping they just told me to contact Hotels.com and put the phone down. The service I got from GlobalStay was terrible, and totally unacceptable! And the total lack of interest in solving the issue was unprofessional. I will not be staying with GlobalStay again, and I cant not believe Hotels.com can accept that customers choose a room based on location and look/feel, but get given something totally else.

It was literally across cn tower, rogers and ripley’s
