Hotel Fundadores

We had a lovely stay at the Fundadores hotel. The hotel and our room was clean, and is within walking distance from the main square. The hotel is near very good restaurants. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We would stay here again

Staff was very pleasant throughout. Very helpful with my questions and requests. The hotel had a very nice courtyard/pool area and the room was comfortable and clean. This location was within walking distance of many restaurants. A fantastic place to stop on our mini road trip from Cancun/Chichen Itza.

Amazing! Recently Beautifully refurbished inside and out but retained its old world charm! Everything clean and attractive! pool, safe in-room , great beds! Staff wonderful Laocated close to main square and bus station.

This little hotel has beautiful architecture, a nice courtyard with a pool and friendly staff. Great price for location and time of year. Advice to others would be to avoid room #1: close proximity to front desk and entrance to hotel so I could hear staff and other guests talking in that area late at night. Also, the shower did not drain very well in that room which resulted in an inch or 2 of water by the time my shower was finished.

Amazing cute colonial style hotel. Perfect location close to everything. Very reasonable rates. My room was huge and I loved hanging by the pool. Wifi was patchy in room but was totally fine by the pool. Highly recommend.

Positive points: - Beautiful architecture - Large rooms with comfortable beds, smart tv and air con. - Small pool in the middle of the atrium. - The hotel is well located in the town close to the main square. Negative or potential improvements: - no lift when our room was at the 2nd floor and no service proposed to help us to handdle the lugguages. - No restaurand nor breakfast offered by the hotel - missing a fridge in the room - very poor wifi signal in the room (only available in the atrium and front desk).

Wonderful staff

This is a very clean, cute hotel within easy walking distance to the main square and many shops/restaurants. Beds are comfortable and A/C worked great. However, we stayed in room #1 and I do not recommend that room. It is near the entrance on the ground floor so is in a busy, high traffic area with lots of people coming and going. From the room it is also easy to hear staff or other guests talking at night and early in the morning. The shower didn't drain properly so by the end of my shower I was standing in over an inch of water. It drains...eventually. It is possible this is a problem with any room on the ground floor. There are no safes in the rooms which meant I had to carry my passport and other valuables around with me all the time. I would stay here again but just not on the ground floor.

Very clean and friendly hotel in an excellent location about 5 blocks from the main church. Beds are comfortable and the shower is nice. Towels are fluffy too. Great place to stay, and a real bargain. Several restaurants are nearby as are other shops.

V pretty hotek, huge bedroom, comfy beds. No view from our ground floor room. No tea or coffee facilities or availability, but down street nice cafe.
