Days Inn by Wyndham Novato/San Francisco

Awful customer service from days in and booking.com, beware that if you pre pay for the room they make you cancel the stay 11 days early but if you book thru them or you don’t pre pay then you are allowed to cancel 24 hours prior. I cancelled 48 hours prior due to rain cancelling my sons mountain biking event and called to request a free cancellation or partial refund and the person said normally we can within 24 hours and that he would pass this into his manager. Booking.com said that it’s up to the hotel and that they wouldn’t charge the hotel if they approved the cancellation, the Manager decided that he would keep my $200 and didn’t bother to call or offer any options. This place doesn’t appear to care about its customers and I don’t plan to ever visit this establishment.

It’s secluded

I left my book there and called right away to let them know about it, they told me to check back in, which I did several times, I should’ve never told the front desk person it was $100 book because he told me after a week calling back-and-forth that no one returned it, that’s bullshit!! I accidentally left it on the bed so the house cleaner or the front desk person is a thief, plain and simple..

The pool and courtyard area was very nice.

The front desk/ Reception area was not very inviting. Could use a little updating.

Check in clerk was very rude. I asked for extra blanket because room heater did not work, was told he had no key to the housekeeping supplies. Very loud people coming and going all night, I suspect there was illegal activity going on.

Good value for money.

Balcony should be private, not a public walkway. The hotel owner can easily fix this by just dividing walkway where the room slider is and making it private with a wall. You can't open the curtains or the slider to enjoy the view because it opens on a public walkway. - Really dumb plan.
