Sheraton Okinawa Sunmarina Resort

There is practically one restaurant serving buffet in this resort. We didn’t have a car so we were practically prisoners of this resort during our three night stay. One waiting staff, about 50 years old asked my wife’s age when taking our order. This was very inappropriate and unacceptable. We were both 80 something. After taking the order he never returned.

Everything was amazing! The food at breakfast, the food at the senses restaurant in the evening, the beach, the beach activities was perfect!! If we had more time we would do every activity at the beach! The pools, the service was perfect. We really recommend the snorkeling tour!

Great resort facilities for the whole family, especially those with children. Hotel main lobby has a huge pool with fishes, sea cucumber and star fish to entertain the children. They can even get to feed them. Resort has a beach front for water sports, a zip line and indoor playground and ball pit for the children to play! Adults can entertain ourselves over Karaoke and take pictures of the resort lighthouse, chapel and sea front. Check in was fast and room was clean with good hot showers. Marriott Gold members get to enjoy a free wellness pass, which include free access to indoor and outdoor pool, Japanese bath and rental of beach chair and umbrella.

Wow! We were blown away with this resort. This is a gorgeous resort with well maintained facilities. They do a wonderful job of catering to all customers whether it is a family of five or a couple looking to get away for a romantic holiday. We spend five nights and wish we could've stayed longer. They have some amazing restaurants that cater to your different food desires. They did their best to accommodate my wife's gluten allergy, but like most hotels/restaurants in Japan, the staff is still in the infancy stages of knowing what is and isn't acceptable. I'm sure this will get better over time. Yui and Sinzen from the restaurants really went above and beyond. Lots of beach activities and a nice wading area in the ocean to keep cool. You will not find 4-foot waves to play in due to the breaker system that is setup to help maintain the integrity of the beach area. However, you will find some wonderful pools (both indoor and outdoor). If you get a chance to pamper yourself in the Churaku spa, please do so. The staff was amazing and the treatments were world class!

My partner and I just returned from a wonderful 3-night stay at the Sheraton hotel in Okinawa, and we're already dreaming of going back. This was our first time visiting the island, and the hotel provided the perfect home base to experience Okinawa's stunning natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. The hotel facilities and amenities were truly top-notch. We took full advantage of the on-site coin-operated laundry machines, which allowed us to pack light and travel hassle-free. The complimentary parking and outdoor adventure offerings, like the zipline and kayaking, were also fantastic perks. We had a thrilling time trying out the zipline, though the weather conditions did cause it to close down for a day due to high winds. Luckily, the hotel's crystal clear private beach provided a wonderfully serene alternative when outdoor activities weren't possible. The indoor and outdoor swimming pools were a huge hit, especially with our young kids. They loved the fun water slides and spent countless hours splashing around. The hotel's location and variety of family-friendly features made it an ideal choice for our trip. The only area that could use some improvement was the hotel service. While the staff was generally polite, we did notice they didn't always have the warmest demeanor, and there were occasionally long wait times to reach someone by phone or the mobile chat function. However, given that we visited during the peak season, we understand the hotel was likely experiencing high guest volume. Overall, our stay at the Okinawa Sheraton was truly exceptional. The stunning natural surroundings, top-notch facilities, and wide array of activities made it the perfect home base to explore this incredible island.
