"Cockroaches"

We arrived on March 18th and checked into our ground level room that had a partial pool view. Upon arrival the grounds looked beautiful by the pool and surrounding area. When we checked into our room around 4:15 we noticed the door looked like it had seen better days. You could see a gap all around the frame and it didn't close securely. The room was dated and old but to be expected being an older hotel. We left for supper and when we came back around 7 p.m. we noticed a large cockroach crawling on the floor. I called the front desk to ask them to bring a luggage rack as we were not going to stay in this room. We then saw 2 more ( one going under the bed and another under the fridge). At this point we were not willing to move to another room and asked for a refund. The ladies at the front desk did not seem to care less and when our 3rd party travel agent spoke to a Jeff in the office, he told her it was a "cricket". First off, we never even seen Jeff, nor had he looked at our photos or room so to state it was a cricket was extemely dismissive. Our travel agent stated he agreed to do a refund and hung up on her. NO apologies. We know bugs in Arizona can be an issue but to see 3 cockroaches was absolutely disgusting and that hotel needs to spray. Unfortunately we had to pay a large amount out of pocket to secure a last minute hotel for our 7 night vacation however that hotel was clean and bug free!! Very disappointed in Jeff's lack of care.

Sierra & Catherine were great front desk agents and able to accommodate me when my flight got canceled and helped me with everything i needed. Will definitely be back to visit them when I’m in Scottsdale
