Superbe auberge de jeunesse au centre-ville, juste à côté d’un magnifique cenote! On a rencontré plein de gens sympa, soit de passage soit bénévoles, et le proprio nous a bien aidés et conseillés. La piscine passe super bien lors des après-midi trop chaudes, et le tout est agréable et confortable. On a dormi dans le dortoir à double lit, parfaite solution d’auberge de jeunesse pour un couple!

We stayed 2 nights in Guacamayas Hostal and it was as in the description. We booked 2 nights in a girl dorm and we had a bathroom dedicated for girls. The lockers are huge and we could put our big backpacks in them. The owner gave us really good recommendations on what to do in Valladolid. They offer pancakes for the breakfast (included in the price) and they were good.

Overall this was a great hostel. The staff and volunteers were really welcoming and friendly, and it has a good vibe with chill music, lots of space to relax outside (including hammocks), and an outdoor kitchen. The beds are really comfortable and have curtains, and the rooms have amazing air conditioning which is essential in the summer. It was also in a good location, less than a 10 minute walk to the main square. It also has a laundry on site and a washing line to hang wet togs etc.

The bathrooms could be a bit cleaner and the water pressure is kind of weak. The stay included free breakfast so we expected this - however on our first morning one of the volunteers said we had to cook our own. She just gave us the pancake mix and an egg, plus m&ms and chocolate sauce. Nothing to measure with, no instructions, and not even any fruit to go with it. On our last day she cooked it for us but we only got two pancakes each and 4 little slices of banana.

Didn’t like the property

Small, rustic and familiar hostel with a warm and detailed staff. That made the environment very comfortable. Not luxurious at all, but extremely clean. It definitely has everything for a calm stay. Moreover, they have a professional laundry that works amazingly and scooter and bike rentals to move freely around the city for a reasonable price.

Nothing

The owner and staff were really nice. It had a cozy place to relax in the common area. The pancakes for breakfast were amazing ! The bedding was not the comfiest but a very good price/quality ratio, would recommend !

The cleanliness in the bathroom, that is for a large number of people could be improved. The swimming pool is quite small, but has we didn't have time to use it, it wasn't a big issue.
