DoubleTree by Hilton Santa Fe

We travel a lot, staying mostly at Hilton properties, and this was the single worst hotel experience anywhere in the country. My complaint has to do with the room. Room 239 is directly above the kitchen so the exhaust fans fire up at 4:30 am and they are loud. Also, check the pictures, above the bathroom sink the shelf has been installed crooked. It looks like it’s loose but no, it’s screwed in tight. Slanted. I’m assuming it was done late on Friday after a liquid lunch and nobody bothered to check the maintenance person’s work. As if that wasn’t enough, the toilet was loose from the floor. The bolts were broken and I could lift the toilet straight up. Really. It was loose from the floor. When we asked for help, they said they didn’t have another room and they did not offer to find us another Hilton to stay at. Customer service was a bust. Don’t expect much from this crew. However, the one bright spot was the breakfast staff. Eileen and Erica were terrific. They were friendly and efficient and the spread was good.

Clean rooms and great breakfast bar. Fresh cookies when we checked in. Spotty wi-fi while at the property. Close to lots of restaurants. Loved the decor in the main area.

The building is not finished decor wise. The hallways were dirty, not vacuumed the whole two days I was there. There was a crime scene outside all day long, and then my car got broken into the next night. Of course the hotel didn’t have cameras outside. Poor location, extremely overpriced, and just not very clean.

Wir kannten Hilton Doubletree bisher nur als gehobene Marke. Dieses Hotel war weit davon entfernt. Am Frontcounter arbeiten durchweg Mitarbeiter die keine Ahnung und keine Lust haben und zusätzlich auch noch unfreundlich sind. Die Ausstattung des Hotels ist heruntergekommen und entspricht allenfalls der Ausstattung von vor 40 Jahren ohne erkennbare Renovierung. Das Frühstücksangebot ist auf Mindestniveau.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Erica our breakfast server was excellent!

The bathroom space was a little small and the pool was closed for one of the days.

Quiet, clean, and has everything you need.
