DoubleTree by Hilton Santa Fe

The front dest clerk was amazing, and the maintenance staff was very fast. Housekeeping, however, tried to come into our room at 7 am. without knocking, waking my wife and I much earlier than we expected.

The room itself had a strong chemical cleaner smell, enough that made it uncomfortable to walk in initially. There was a large wet spot on the floor in the walkway to the bathroom that had a less pleasant smell when the cleaner smell dissipated. Within minutes of walking into the room, the smoke detector began to beep due to a dead battery that was replaced by maintenance. When we informed the front desk about the smoke detector, he was very apologetic and informed us that there were no other rooms available. The pool was very dirty and the hot tub was colder than the pool.

The staff were great in this place. The room was clean and comfortable.

Location was convenient

The carpet was really gross and stained. Needs updating. Strong smell of pot in the hallways. Yuck!

Horrible place.. should be shut down

Staff very friendly; however the single elevator went out of order TWICE while we were there. It's apparently known to frequently fail. Being assigned a 4th floor ADA room didn't help. Several people were stuck in the lift until help arrived to pry the doors open. I don't know how they deal with people with mobility issues. Restaurant prices appeared to be on the high side. Parking lot was filthy; cleanliness otherwise was satisfactory to good.

The pictures are catfish’s! We walked into a room where ppl where still staying in and the front desk had no idea, second room we got the carpet was wet and parking lot has a sign that state “park at your own risk” $200+ for this is not it!

I'm a 59 year old nationwide business traveler and longtime Hilton Honors member. This is among the worst hotels I have ever stayed in and by far the worst Hilton hotel. Digital key didnt work and neither did their physical keys. Trash littered around the entrance and the halls, glasses and dishes piled up in the halls for some reason, stained carpet everywhere, abundant mystery smells and a decor that must date to the 80s. Oh, and bugs everywhere. I arrived late and tired but I still strongly considered finding a different hotel and paying out of my own pocket. This place is disgusting.
