Best Western Plus Gilbert/Mesa

Tried doing an early check-in a few hours and were not able to accommodate. Gave me the round a round. Not very friendly customer service or manager at the front desk.

Convenient and friendly staffs

We had stayed here several days a few years ago while visiting family, so I booked again, as we previously had a good experience - big mistake not reading current reviews. We were "upgraded" to a king room - the room was next to the elevator and faced the highway, so it was loud from both the hallway and traffic noise. The bathroom smelled awful of mold. We thought we could deal with it for a few days, but after a couple nights we were miserable - both of us were all stuffed up from breathing that in. When we asked to transfer rooms we were told they were full and the best they could do is note it in our file, and then we could have our third party billing company (expedia) contact the hotel for a refund. I contacted expedia who attempted to contact the hotel for a week, they wouldn't respond, so stuck paying full price for a loud and moldy hotel room. Won't stay here again and won't recommend it anymore to other family visiting. The only thing saving this from a terrible review was the bed was at least comfortable and the staff was nice.

Pros: Cheap, hot shower, bed was comfortable, nice people at the front desk Cons: Furniture was pretty beat up, the shower has seen better days, the door took about 6 tries to get it to stay closed, people in the lobby were openly complaining about the smell in their rooms, and the treadmill is broken.

Good, would stay again

Not as nice as some of the other Best Western Plus hotels. But fine for a single night stay. There is a restaurant nearby which is a plus.

Asked for a crib which wasnt set up. Dusty and dirty. Dead flies and bugs on bedspread. No mention of deposit when room was booked. Its obvious we wont stay here again.

My room was dirty and run-down. My first room #202 was hazardous, as the bed frame was larger than the queen mattress upon it. The rails protruded out and I was injured (bruises on my legs where I tripped over the bars. The TV didn’t work. Night concierge had no idea how to operate the remote when I asked for advice. I made several trips to swap remotes. Changed rooms #206-and that TV remote was not programmed to that TV. Changed rooms to #216. The TV worked fine. My Bathroom Shower and toilet was DIRTY- hair on shower walls and big hair clog in the drain caused the shower to pool in the the chopped and dirty tub. The bathroom airvent was black and fuzzy- I was over-charged for this dilapidated dirty room. I do not recommend this place. While the breakfast was nice, my room was so dirty that I question the cleanliness of the kitchen
