Very pleased with our stay

Professional and helpful

I can't say enough good things about this hotel... it's immaculate, i slept so peacefully. The hotel is very well insulated and I could not hear any interior or exterior noises from my room, which is always appreciated.Because who doesn't like a good night's sleep, and the customer service I received from Teyonna, Marissa, and Tony from the front desk was exceptional! They were so accommodating and eager to make my stay wonderful. They checked in every morning and multiple times throughout the day to make sure everything was going well during my stay and upgraded me to a suite with late checkout. Hayden from valet was an absolute sweetheart! He provided the absolute best service, along with the rest of the valet staff. The property itself is in a great location. Tons of dining options as well as shopping. It's a perfect location to get into downtown Phoenix or into Scottsdale... you're close enough yet, not in the heart of all the chaos. This was my first time in Phoenix and this staff did everything in their power to make my stay special. I only had one employee who shrugged off an issue... unfortunately, it was a manager named Anthony. He was an ABSOLUTE nightmare. He was smug, arrogant and also spoke to me in a very condescending tone which is never acceptable. However, i'm going to focus on the most wonderful employees who provided superb customer service- Teyonna, Marissa, Tony at the front desk and Hayden from valet!

Beautiful property and excellent staff!! The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars is because the rooms look nothing like the photos.

Very nice hotel in an excellent location. However lots of warts. I must have 1,000 Marriott nights and am a Lifetime Gold elite. Marriott seems to change the rules as I seem to get close to Lifetime Platinum Elite but as I get close the rules change. I mention this because as I checked into The Camby a young couple next to me had their room upgraded. No way did they have more nights than me but they probably brought in beds for Marriott and therefore had higher status. I was told no upgrades were available. During my stay a technician had to come to our room to reboot the software for the TV in order to get live TV. He said it was a regular problem. Secondly, my wife and I went out to church and breakfast on a Sunday morning and when we returned around 11:00AM we had a notice that the hotel was changing water services and that the hotel and all rooms would have no water until 5:00 PM. Why weren't we told in advance? The hotel has a restaurant but the menu is very avant guard. Not your typical hotel restaurant. When we walked by for breakfast or were in the bar at mealtime it seemed the restaurant was sparsely attended. Probably because the chef wanting to have a far out menu. We stayed 4 nights over MLK weekend. The hotel itself is lovely but it seems that they need to up their game to eliminate the flaws.

Great place

It was the absolute BEST! Hotel was beautiful!! Staff was AMAZING - especially Antonio and Sami! They bend over backwards to make sure you are happy and all your needs are met. I highly, highly, highly recommend this hotel. I've stayed at more hotels than I can count - but this one - was an 11 - on a scale of 1 to 10!

Great property and the restaurant was very good as well.
