Secrets Sunny Beach Resort & Spa - All Inclusive - Adults Only

The hotel and room a good size and very clean ,the staff and food in the restaurant were great however the reception and bar staff are very under trained and inexperienced. Had far to many badly mixed cocktails for it to be just a mistake and as for making a cup of coffee, I gave up asking once I got half a cup of cold coffee. For a hotel to advertise quite a few a la carte restaurants we only found the oceanic in the hotel itself to be acceptable. We went for the Bulgarian a la carte which was in there other hotel next door where I was given a warm can of beer to start with. While waiting for our food my wife saw the children putting their fingers in the sauces to taste it before putting it on there plate which was disgusting considering we went on an adults only holiday to be without kids .it wasn't a restaurant at all ,more like mcdonald's. Then we went to the ocean grill down along the beach front expecting it to better than the last one, it wasn't another can of warm beer and only half the food available on the menu we complained and yet again went back to the hotel restaurant and ate there. We went on two of the five trips available at the time ,the first was to nessebar by coach and enjoyed it great place with lots to buy and see .then to kahns tent which was great ,the food was really nice and the dancing and performers were very good all that said me and my wife are at an age where we go away two times a year at least and base our holiday on the food and trips out so won't be going back to the hotel secrets again sorry

The hotel looks nice, yes the pool is nice and spacious but thats about it. Employees are not really motivated or well trained. The service is bad and the selection of drinks basic. Price value is not existing. Expected a lot more but was very dissapointed. Only highlight was the Oceana Restaurant, the fish we had was great, but only the food.

I was a little apprehensive about this hotel after reading some of the comments on TripAdvisor. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with a bewildering choice of food options, superb facilities and great scenic views from just about all locations within the hotel, especially the rooms. We went as preferred guests and it was well worth the extra cost, in my opinion. We had a room on the top floor, which was fabulous, access to all areas of the hotel and a designated area of the pool which includes cabana lounge beds. We also dined at the Italian restaurant and the fish restaurant, both were excellent, especially the fish restaurant. The main buffet restaurant had a huge range of quality options, again we really enjoyed the experience, with the staff generally very attentive. There is a grain of truth in some of the comments others have made, but nothing that detracted from our enjoyment of the hotel and its amenities. It was a pleasure to stay in a fantastic hotel, and from what I saw, probably the best in the resort. Thank you.

The hotel rates itself as 5 star, it’s not ! It’s a nice hotel but is lacking in many areas, the management would benefit from an independent survey !! The room was on the whole okay, apart from the bedsheets didn’t fit, the bed was too big ! The extra mosquito screen needs to have markings on so that you don’t walk into it, balcony light ! What balcony light ? That’s a 3 star expectation. The pool areas are really clean, but, be aware that the stainless steel handrails get scorchingly hot and the Green floor tiles are really slippery. The restaurant needs more than 1 very slow toaster and 2 very slow coffee machines, also, a microwave would be useful if you want a hot meal !! We booked as preferred members but there’s no benefits, we were told to ask the day before if we needed a late check out as part of the preferred membership but we were told it wasn’t available but we could use the showers in the lobby toilets, disastrous, they flooded , totally not fit for purpose !! Small details would make a massive difference but don’t advertise preferred membership, what a waste !

We stayed for three nights, food was good, room was good service at the restaurant was good. But no pool or beach drinks and food service which we found very poor and inconvenient for a relaxed 3 days holiday. But for us service come first and should be excellent not good. At the reception we asked them about the pink lake in Burgas they didn’t know anything about it, then I asked them to check and let me know how I can get there and if there are any cafes restaurants etc.. they said sorry we didn’t check because we had a problem with another guest. Then we booked a spa with a lovely lady at the spa reception for our last day which was on the 19th of July 2025. We arrive on our last day, there was a man he said his name was Paul! We asked hime to get cleaned up before our treatment in a room or cabinets he said go it’s there, he didn’t even take us or showed us where! We go there and ther is nothing other than a shower and two toilets which everyone can have access to! No privacy! He didn’t even offer towels or robes! I had to ask for towels then I asked him if we can change in a room , he said there isn’t one we don’t offer this kind of services this all you get go change in the toilet which barely can fit, let alone with carry on and your luggage. Then I said why are you talking like that , he said do you still want your treatment or not? Wow I said so I asked him for his name and I said to him you will hear from me, he said yeh yeh ok ok. Sooooooo rude and unprofessional, in all my holiday experiences I have not been treated like this at 5 star hotel never. Then when I came to pay after my treatment which was lovely, I was missing 26 cent, he asked me to go change my €5 into coins, at the exchange office she didn’t have coins, so luckily I found 26 pennies in my bag. Bar service they don’t make special cocktails just your basic. I can say I will not go there again or recommend it to anyone, but I can say I made the most of it I. Luckily this bad experience happened on the last day not at the beginning. Please who ever is in charge of this reviews take this seriously. It’s shame we spend our hard earned money and not get the service we deserve. Thank you

Just returned from 10 days at secrets, went last year so knew what to expect, stayed in a preferred room again was in 715, bed is the biggest and most comfiest I've ever had in any hotel, first I will start with the good parts, food wise you have so much selection didn't bother with the al a cart because I think I didn't need to, food could be hotter but that's not really a problem, waitresses and all the staff never stop working, credit to the hotel, pool area is massive no need to get up and reserve beds, plenty about all through the day. Now with the bad parts I went preferred for the little touches like at the pool, last year people would come round and check you was preferred in the preferred section, this year nobody was really checking at all, one day 6 German woman was asked to move by a member of staff, they refused to move and stayed in the preferred section on 3 occasions that I know of, I paid extra for this and people blatantly abused it, next the lifts are a total nightmare, sometimes waiting 10 minutes to go down, all in all I enjoyed my second visit to this hotel and would recommend on visiting, thank you secrets for a lovely holiday, will return one day.

This was our third time at this fantastic hotel. We booked prefered club extra as we did on our previous stay here.Everything is perfect except for one issue. That being that the preferred club pool area is so very poorly monitored. People who haven't paid the extra sum for preferred club just seem to think they can use it even though there is a large sign at the entrance. When we complained it was better but still abused . A turnstile system would be better ,or at the very least wrist bands. It is annoying to pay £ 200 to 300 extra for this to find others just walking in and no-one is monitoring this . We hope this issue will be resolved by next year as we have rebooked for 2026. The rest of this resort is just perfect. The staff are great as was the Jet2 rep,Drago. And George the customer service manager was brilliant

Fantastic hotel! Spacious, calm, well appointed in all areas. We had a preferred room which was huge with a massive comfy bed, great air con, lovely balcony, door to close of bedroom from hall/bathroom and another for toilet so excellent privacy. Coffee maker, dressing gowns, towels, beach bag, free minibar all in the room which was impeccably made up again every day - the chambermaids were friendly, discreet and excellent. Food great with a massive choice in the main self service style restaurants plus bookable alternatives and a 24hour cafe and bar plus a room just for preferred guests with great snacks and full drinks selection all day. Also a pool bar and fridge full of cold drinks to help ourselves from by the pool. There were plenty of sun loungers with space to move them around without encroaching on neighbours both by the pool and on the beach. Staff were excellent at policing it discreetly and keeping families away from this peaceful adults only hotel and facilities. The gym was good if a little basic and the indoor pool a good size. The waiting staff were excellent, as were bar staff and all maintenance staff. Impressive attention to detail but never in our faces. Altogether a really exceptional hotel. I would not only recommend but also I would return and would definitely consider booking other secrets hotels.

Wonderful experience, lovely staff the food was above excellent! A huge thanks to the head chef! BRAVO!! The hotel was clean and pool and beach area was in excellent condition at all times. The spa was lovely! The entire experience was outstanding!

Lovely hotel, unbelievably clean considering so many people here, pool is beautiful as is the surrounding area, restaurants comfortable, clean and a lot of choice food wise, not always to my taste but that’s irrelevant as always found something I liked. What a joy to be on holiday and not have to worry about getting a sunbed, there are loads here and not on top of each other. All in all it’s perfect. However there were some tiny things which I felt let it down hence the 4 stars. The plastic cups for use outside, theses are for one use only and I dread to think how many are thrown in the bin, also horrible to drink out of and so environmentally unfriendly. Surly hard plastic glasses which can be washed would be better on a number of levels especially regarding recycling The towels in the room are very small and very thin, for 5 star I would expect large fluffy towels. The pillows are far to soft, should have choice of hard or soft which is usual in 4 /5 star hotels As has been mentioned - a microwave in the restaurants would be highly beneficial as I have experienced cool to cold food and had there been a microwave I could of warmed my food to my taste As lots of people mention, the staff work incredibly hard and remain helpful and friendly so shout out to all the staff. Except the one that was incredibly rude to me but there is always one rotten apple!! All in all a great stay.
