Crowne Plaza Chicago-Northbrook, an IHG Hotel

There is a mold issue in the building.

Property has a lot of maintenance issues. Elevator that doesn't work, plugs that don't work, A/C issues, and I could go on with broken or things that needed repair. Staff was nice.

elevators were not functional, breakfast was not appetizing.

Very limited even on bathroom supplies only small shampoo for 3 nights stay for 4 people

I liked the location, but the hotel has slipped a few notches over the years. Like most hotels you have to request maid service, I would prefer opting out by putting my "Do Not Disturb" sign outside the door.

It’s was ok.

Room was very clean and smelled very 'fresh'. Bed linens were soft and comfortable. The mattress was a bit softer than I like but that's just my personal preference. It didn't hinder my sleep in any way. Our room had a Keurig with a couple of complimentary K-cups provided with cups. It also had a large armoire with drawers that I thought was strictly for storage but I was mistaken. Behind the door of the armoire was a mini fridge and microwave. The room also had a nice sized desk with a very comfortable office chair. Shower had awesome water pressure which I was very happy about. We didn't get a chance to use the pool but it was a nice size and had plenty of seating along with a tiki bar right next to it. The check-in/out process was almost delightful. The front desk people were very polite and efficient. i really can't think of anything to improve upon to make someone's stay any better!

New building still noise of construction and dining were baby food very small proportions

The hotel was decent. My only complaints were that we didn't have any face or dry towels in the room when we arrived nor did we get any the next day. When we told them we needed more towels, they said we were all out of towels. The TVs are outdated. You can't enjoy the luxury of watching nexflix or play video games because the tvs dont have hdmi ports. Other than those 2 things, The hotel is a nice place to stay for a weekend.
