Hilton Kuching

I spent 3 nights at Hilton Kuching on the first leg of my photo expedition to Borneo with Natural Habitat Adventures. This hotel is a little gem. Clean, comfortable, modern, large room and good location. My room had a fantastic view overlooking the river. I enjoyed the food at the restaurant, however, there are a couple of very good restaurants near the hotel. The area surrounding the hotel is pleasant to walk around, particularly the walk along the river. Overall, I found the hotel to be more than adequate for a stay in Kuching and would recommend it to family and friends.

From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed by the warm and friendly staff. The hotel has a super cosy vibe—everything from the soft lighting in the lobby to the thoughtful décor made it feel like a true home away from home. One of the unexpected highlights was the lobby café. I decided to treat myself to some dessert and was absolutely delighted. The cakes were not only beautifully presented but tasted incredible. I tried the pistachio cheesecake and it was a standout—creamy, rich, with just the right hint of nuttiness. Truly one of the best I’ve had in a long time. I even went back second day for the chocolate cake, was completely blown away. It was so rich, moist, and full of flavour—truly yummylicious and I found myself looking forward to coffee and dessert time every day! The ambience throughout the hotel was calm and inviting. Whether I was lounging in the lobby or enjoying a quiet moment with coffee and nice view, it always felt peaceful and relaxing. Service was top-notch—attentive without being overbearing, and the team always had a smile on their faces. It’s rare these days to find such genuine hospitality. All in all, it was a delightful stay and one that I’ll remember fondly. I’ll definitely be coming back again. Thank you for such a lovely experience!

What a wonderful experience I had staying at the Hilton Kuching! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a genuinely warm and friendly team who made us feel right at home. The suite was extremely comfortable—spacious, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities you could need. I especially appreciated the little touches that made the stay feel luxurious. The buffet breakfast was also a highlight, offering a wide variety of delicious local and international options. We also booked a Hilton driver during our stay and had an incredible local experience. He took us around to explore Kuching, which is truly a hidden gem—rich in culture, nature, and full of surprises. Hilton Kuching once again delivered in true Hilton style. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Borneo—it’s the perfect base to explore this charming city.

Exceptional Stay at Hilton Kuching I had a fantastic experience at Hilton Kuching and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sarawak. The quality of the hotel is outstanding—from the moment I arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and professional. The room was impeccably clean and well-maintained, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The location is another big plus—right along the waterfront and close to shops, restaurants, and local attractions. A special highlight was the breakfast. The variety was impressive, catering to both local and international tastes, and everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The staff at the restaurant were especially courteous and helpful. Overall, Hilton Kuching exceeded my expectations in every way. I look forward to staying here again on my next visit to Borneo!

Fantastic hotel in brilliant location. Facilities were excellent and staff lovely especially Sheila in the executive lounge , Harith and Wan. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.

A five-star experience. I especially appreciated how the chef and staff went out of their way to accommodate my gluten-free needs! Efficient and friendly staff, clean and quiet room, great cafe in the lobby. Location is beautiful and central. The only improvements would be little housekeeping things - like vacuuming in the cafe outside open hours so it's possible to enjoy the peace & quiet; supplying cups & spoons so the coffee maker in the room can be used; supplying robes with belts, and putting the slippers out where they can be found.

Great to see the results of the modernization and refurbishment. We stayed here two years back in 2023 and it was in need to an upgrade. The people and service is still excellent as before. They added a WhatsApp channel which is useful for small requests. I love the fact they remembered us and the extra bed was already setup in the room with the necessities, including the extra towels and toiletries. The pool, rooms and overall hotel is so much better now and we wished we stayed longer. The river view is stunning as always but the little touches in the room such as the auto swivel bedside lights, and touch panel air conditioning control. The redone bathroom is modern and lit nicely. The sectional lights also help when you’re the first one awake. If there’s anything to improve, it would just be an additional down light at the baggage stand and a towel hook in the bathroom so that we can reuse the towels.

Great location

The hotel is in a great location, right on the waterfront. We stayed for three nights in an executive room with fantastic views of the river, parliament building and hills. The room was large, modern and clean. We had breakfast once in the main restaurant and twice in the lounge, far preferring the latter for ambience/view, although the choice of food is obviously much more limited. We also ate once at the Chinese restaurant, Toh Yuen, which was delicious. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly at all times.
