It was a lovey experience. Sugar Beach is a very nice resort. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is full of facilities and activities. Food options and variety is wonderful. We arrived early on our check-in day and they gave us a complimentary lunch till our rooms were ready. Last day our plane was at 10 pm so Mr. Scyam (Operations Manager) offered us late check out for our room to be more relaxed and comfortable without even us asking. These guys really understand what hospitality means. I totally recommend this resort and Mauritius in general. Thumps up to them.

We had the most memorable family holiday at Sugar Beach (a couple with a 3 & 5 year old). We were particularly impressed with the sheer scale of the place - the grounds are immaculate, beautiful and huge and it has the effect of you not ever feeling “on top” of one another, nor busy. The beach and pool, wow. We went for the AI package and didn’t regret it one bit and we were always impressed by the food and drinks on offer. One of the biggest surprises was the kids club. Having never really used them before, we went to have a “look” around and the kids instantly l enjoyed being around the place and actively wanted to spend a couple of hours there. The staff were excellent (& abundant in number) and the setting is just delightful and way better than any of the pictures alluded to - think a fairytale house in paradise. Super impressive. Thanks to all the staff for such a lovely stay and we hope to visit again!

Location, the wonderfully maintained gardens, cleanliness. Food options and the Manager, Chefs, Service personnel at La Patio excellent. Special shout out to Duty Manager Shyam, the only person who found the time to talk to us at Budha Bar for 15 mins making us feel welcomed and with warmth

Prohibitively expensive drinks (330 ml draft beer costs 400 Rs, 2 glasses of house wine Rs 1500 etc), charging for basic still water at dinner. Slow checking in, some staff could smile, slow response to requests (e.g. drinking water had run out in the room, refills only evening during turndown service). Layout of the room - you enter the bathroom directly and then the bedroom!
