They DO NOT HAVE HOT WATER. In a global pandemic for corona virus that’s just unacceptable. We went that another hotel on our second night of 6. Everything else was decent.

When we arrived we didn’t get a key to our room until the next day because the system wasn’t working. There wasn’t any hot water the 1st 2 days of our stay, the wifi did not work no cable or tv stations, we couldn’t watch any tv horrible!!!!! We had to change rooms because we purchased a pool view but they gave us a standard room no view at all. The location was okay, walking distance to a lot of places. The area gives off hood vibes so if you’re okay with being in the hood this place is okay.

The room is not clean, the towels were dirty, no hot water in the shower. Would not recommend it.

Rooms

This hotel is more than worth the money. The rooms are more on the simple side but very clean and comfortable, pool area is beautiful, staff is friendly and attentive, the hotel is walking distance to tons of food and shops (about 8-10 min), and the location is very convenient for day trips to cenotes and surrounding sites. We always felt very safe walking around at night but if you prefer to bike/moped, there is a rental shop across the street. Covered parking is free and limited to about five tight spaces. We had an interesting time fitting our rental van in (had to fold in side mirrors!) Meal wise, the on-site restaurant has excellent food for a reasonable price ($8-12 USD per person) if you want to get convenient breakfast or are tired after a long day. Only complaint was that the water pressure is on the weaker side; it will take you longer than usual to shower. Overall, we loved this hotel and will definitely be back.

My stay at Kaab Tulum was awesome. The staff are very nice and accommodating. They are friendly, personable and helpful. Eliseo and Jenny at the front desk were phenomenal. The servers were also very attentive. The room were spacious, the architecture is very cool and the decor neat. The only down fall was the cold water in the shower but after all it wasn’t a big deal because the days were hot and cold showers were necessary 😅. After each shower I actually felt better. I would definitely recommend Kaab to anyone thinking of going to Tulum. The location is perfect, it is walking distance to the center and the bus/taxi station. One other thing that was remarkable about the hotel was the breakfast. Overall I was pleased and will visit again.
