Residence Inn by Marriott Dallas Lewisville

Decent for a one night stay. The a/c was marginal, the breakfast was subpar, and the rooms seemed outdated. I would stay here again for a short stay but would look for alternatives

Like the title states, this is a great part of Dallas to stay in... but the upkeep is lacking. First off, I tried calling this place directly to modify my reservation. After 15 calls over a 5 hour period I just gave up. Don't know what the front desk person was doing that whole time, but I had to reach out to Expedia and Residence Inn customer service line to get involved. Then, once I heard back from their customer service, I found out that my reservation on their books was different than what I booked through Expedia. Don't know how that happened. The last straw was checking into a room with the security latch broken off the door, like someone had kicked the door in. There was also a hole in the wall behind the door, cracked black out shades in both rooms, a falling bathroom fan grill, and a weird ceiling spot.

Property was poorly maintained. Tipped curtains. Auto front door broken the entire time we were there. Back door propped open. Air conditioner super loud. Everything was dingy and old in and outside the hotel. I have never been to a Marriott property that was this bad

Breakfast was poor - open from 6:30-9:00, but little food left after 8 am. Had to ask for plates, forks, cups for juice and napkins nearly every day. Overall property is getting run down -blackout shades were tattered, bureau drawer didn’t close. Nearby shopping mall is a ghost town so their business is down too I guess.

My stay was great as always. Just a few things missed, no towels in one bathroom, no shower curtain in the other bathrooms, but they were quick to supply what was needed. Kitchen didn't have a coffee pot nor were all the dishes clean. Was surprised to have a full breakfast available, as last time I was there, only grab and go was available. Can't wait to stay there again in May.

All entry and exit doors at the hotel did not work. Anyone could enter the hotel rather than just guests with a card key. The side doors were propped open with a rock and the automatic front doors were not on their track just open all the time.

Every staff member was very accommodating with desires and requests. This was a bereavement visit and some requests were made and very quickly approved and granted. This helped a sad time a little easier to endure. Thanks so much!

Pot holes, some big, were difficult to see in the dark and could damage vehicles. Some mornings breakfast was hard to come by, seems staff not able to keep up with demand.
