Rocklea Guest House

The hosts, Liz & Chris, were very welcoming and gave us some great suggestions for hikes and restaurants. The apple/yogurt/ nut breakfast was delicious!!

We loved how there was a stream in front of the property. Very quiet location. Liz and Chris were the most incredible hosts... I really appreciated how they both accommodated my requests for breakfast. Enjoyed the whole experience. 10/10. Would highly recommend to any couples out there :)

An absolute treasure. Liz was such a joy!! So grateful for her and the delicious breakfasts by Chris. The room was amazing, the property is gorgeous, great location. Easy bus to the rest of the lakes district. Couldn’t ask for more, highly recommend! We will be back specifically here!

We had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Liz and Chris were amazing as hosts throughout, always asking whether we needed anything and sharing tips and sightseeing advice. The attention given to guests was exceptional and made us feel very welcome and taken care of. The freshly prepared breakfasts were delicious, and there were many options to choose from. The room was very cosy and clean, with lovely views. The sound of the stream trickling outside the window was very peaceful and made us feel like we are surrounded only by nature. The location near the bus station made it a great base for hikes to Ambleside, Grasmere, Elterwater and Helvellyn. Thank you to our hosts for making this stay so pleasant! Would absolutely come back.

I had a wonderful experience at Rocklea Guest House. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, close to everything. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

We had such a great stay here!! The room was super clean, not s single stain The hosts were sooo friendly and thoughtful! They really helped us a lot. Breakfast was offered. food was so good and gave us a great start to the day. They recommended some places to explore, like a secret footpath through a forest with stream. It was beautiful!! Hot chocolate provided in our room was creamy and nice. It warmed us after a long day Definitely would love to come again!
