Courtyard By Marriott Vanderbilt-West End

Very disappointing. As part of our stay we had to pay a deposit/holding fee of $50 dollars a night. When I asked when I would receive it back I was told within 12 working days. After numerous attempts to get in contact with the hotel they eventually reassured me that my money had been released and I should receive it back soon. However no funds came back on my card. I had to make contact with the hotel again and this time I found out the funds had never been released. Very frustrating experience !!!

The property was very good. It is well located to walk to broadway or a very cheap uber ride away. There were some good food options right next to the hotel as well. It felt safe and was good value for money. I guess the only negative was not having our bins emptied when the rooms were tidied. I saw a review saying you had to request it (I think) and if that is the case it would seem a bit odd as surely it should just be done. All in all a very pleasant stay, well located and good value for money. The gym and pool area was also pretty decent. Would recommend.

My spouse & daughter were stuck in your elevator for a period of time. This resulted in our stay drastically changing, from that time until our departure we waited for another elevator or took the stairs. Truly unexpected.

We just did a 1 night stay for our 38th anniversary but it was excellent.Every single staff member we came in contact with smiled and greeted us. Loved the free fresh fruity water. Loved that the beds were low so my husband had an easy transfer from his wheelchair to the bed. The food at the bistro was excellent and the drinks had just the right amount of alcohol. I did not like that it only had valet parking and it cost 40 dollarrs. On the other hand, the valet attendants were super nice and helpful and very quick with unlimited in and out.

Some things turned out better than you except and my stay in the West End areas turned out fantastic! Wanda, the valet manager, was the kindest soul. Her level of service was out of this world. You could tell she wasn’t faking it, she enjoyed helping with any questions I had. Lukas at the front desk was really nice, really any staff I encountered was amazing. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was a great stay.

We had a lovely 2 night/ 3 day stay. We used the cozy pool area, walked around the neighborhood for meals, and had a great time visiting the city/broadway street with this hotel being our base in the middle of it all.
