Courtyard by Marriott Champaign

The furniture shows age distress, the sheets had not been changed but the bed was made up. When I pulled the top blanket down the the bed sheets were full of black hairs. It was just disgusting. Fortunately, the person on duty at the front desk was very apologetic and took care of getting clean sheets and pillow cases. I will not be returning to this property. The Marriott family has lost the value of quality. I have a relative who was quite high in this corp org and would have been horrified if he had seen the condition of the room I was in. In addition, the phone did not work.

I checked in 11/14 in the afternoon and the front desk employee was a delight. Friendly and professional. Name? Something like kayesha maybe? The ac unit in the room was barely working though and needs repair. Room was clean and well maintained, but the bed was uncomfortably hard.

Nasty dirty smelly. No internet TV, that’s why I stay at Marriott properties to begin with. No remote in the room and no POS System at the bar. I am a bit worried how much I will get charged for my drinks. From the employees it seems management doesn’t care. Even with ambassador elite status, the only thing that was mustered up for me was a remote control.

Not value for money

Very disappointed and unrestful! We were not warned that the morning of our stay had major renovation scheduled to remove and replace the roof! We were rattled awake at 7:30 AM (on a Sat. following a late Fri. night football game final) by what sounded like 100 people clog dancing on the roof! Then their heavy machinery noises and shouting orders to each other. We should have been warned of the disruption. I would have choose another hotel.
