Cantwell Cabins

Nothing.

The place is a dump. Very strong chemical smell when you came in the back way. There was only 1 hanger on nail in the room for hanging cloths. Breakfast was mostly white breads,bagels and cherrios probably from Walmark. Only protein was peanut butter. We found tables in what used to be the saloon so sat there. No help from the owner. Located less than 100 feet from railway lines so heard the train horn twice each night.

Bathroom was new and clean

The location is very isolated, the restaurant was announced to be open but it was actually closed. Twice per night there is a train that blows its horn just a few meters from the hotel. Breakfast is self service to be taken in a dark room beside a closed bar, that even has fresh bloody moose antlers on the floor. Very depressing place

Nice people

Didn't look like much from the outside. Inside decor was awesome though. Location near Denali NP also a bonus.

Train at 2 and 4 am not any fun but oh well.

Compare to the price , it was OK for overall facility , security and location. Staff was good and kind . The room was a bit narrow for 3 persons Breakfast is minimal continental breakfast like bread , biscuit , butter , jam with milk and juice The location is 40 km. from Denali park not too far but need to wake up early if you need green transit bus into the park. The wifi is OK.

A bit old hotel with minimal facilities and less convenient than ordinary hotel. FOr observation aurora , it is not a good place since there are spotlights surround the hotel.

There were bugs running in the room. There was a strong smell of mildew/mold. It was unhealthy and we left immediately after seeing these problems. We asked for a refund of our money since the property was misrepresented in the descriptions we read to choose it in the first place. No refund was given so we lost our money for 3 nights stay. The photos of the property were a complete misrepresentation of its actual poor condition.

Very clean and comfortable
