Cantwell Cabins

Their breakfast is great! With a bow of fruits, that was awesome.

The lodge is located 2.2 mile away from the main high way. There is not clear sign for the lodge direction. GPS didn't give exact location, so we called two times before we finally found it. If lodge can put the direction sign on the road, that will be great.

The breakfast was simple we helped ourselves the coffee was excellent percolator brewed. Location was perfectly located to the rooms.

The outside of the building was less than desirable I would not have driven in if we hadn’t made reservations.

Only thing you need to plan is food. It was advertised as Longhorn Saloon on Booking.com. That part was erased from the main sign. It is no longer a saloon. There are 2 choices nearby to eat. One was closed by 6pm and the other closed slightly early at 5:55 pm. Cantrell is 29 miles from anywhere.

This was the cutest, cleanest, most comfortable room. Free breakfast was better than most hotels, and the staff was very polite and professional.

Train came blaring down the tracks ~ 100 feet from the lodge at 2:00am AND 4:00am. Did not get much sleep. Extremely isolated location; We arrived after 7pm and was told the nearest place to get any kind of food/drink was 16 miles away.

Use of the bar and grill was very convenient for the family. Rooms were clean when we arrived

We were charged for common area laundry when it was advertised in every room. The rooms were not touched once we arrived and when I asked about it via text, no response. The grounds were awful. The widows in our main room did not have screens so it was very hot and uncomfortable.

Decent location.

No fault of the property but internet was sketchy. Back bedroom had no windows or ventilation. Entry point is in the rear.

The room was spacious and well stocked. Bathroom clean, great towels. Good breakfast; never had croissants provided in Alaska before!

A bit off the beaten track, but quiet except for the trains.
