Split Rock Resort

When we arrived for a late check in we were told they moved us to the annex lodge down the road. I paid for the main lodge known as the Town Center. We were there for an awards baquet. It was pretty essential that we stay in the main building. They did not care. We arrived at tge annex lodge and immediately discovered that our room was leaking. We were on the 2nd floor. There are three floors. We were assigned room 213, the jouning room next door was unsecured, to our room, "anybody and everybody had access." We discovered room 215 was also pouring water in that room from the cealing. Most of it flowing through an overhhead light. "Fire hazzard." I tried to call the front dest through the room phone. I could not get through. I called on my cell phone and they said, "we will send security." Security finally showed up after a 30 minute wait. It was now 0100 in morning. He wanted to move us in the room directly below our current room. ???? No way, this is going to leak to the 1st floor. He decided to move us to room 306. He stated, " I will tell the front desk where I moved you too." Well he did not. The next morning house keeping had no clue we were there. She said she was going to tell the front desk. She did not. Later tgat afternoon my 17 year old son and I were prepaing for our banquet, a family of 3 opened our door and saw my son 1/2 naked. This was unacceptable for the hotel to release keys to another guest. I complained at the front desk and they did nothing about it.

I should have known... the girl at the front desk told us our room number so loudly that everyone in the lobby heard it. Be ready to walk long, hot hallways to your room. We had no coffee maker and the shower didn't work. But we couldn't call the front desk because the phone in the room didn't work either. So, my husband drove to the front desk (yes, drove otherwise it's a long, hot walk to the front desk) and the girls at the front desk were on their personal cell phones and basically shrugged my husband off. There were hairs on the sheets that were not ours and hair in the bathroom that was not ours. One restaurant was closed completely- like shut down, and the other only served breakfast. We went to the Lodge which is the other part of the property and it was like something out of "The Shining"... dark wood, worn, dark halls, faded carpet and the pool there was closed also. I sent an email to the front office manager and General Manager during our stay and I have not yet received a response.

It was terrible I won’t stay here again they were under a boil water was not notified at check in nothing on the door as you enter the suite had zero kitchen supply’s the jacuzzi tub didn’t work I had to spend more money for food on top of what we took to cook there

We couldn't get ice from ice machines. Had to go yo bar for ice which in return the bartender could one give me 1 glass per person. The bathroom floor has soft spots. The hot tub turned my girlfriend bathing suit bleach spots. The suit was brand new. Not enough towels. We asked 3 times before we finally got them. Air conditioned didn't work. Thank God the the windows opened. We have neen coming here for years to go to wine fest. We've stayed here the last 15 years. This year was by far the worst. We paid $40 to get in and there was hardly any vendors. Not a lot of food. And less the 20 wineries. All of our favorite wineries wasn't there. I was not happy with my stay. No reimbursement for the bathing suit or the terrible breakfast sandwiches we got. The bagel bottoms were hard as a rock...i don't think we will come back next year.

Arrived 06/06/2025. hotel had no water. Had a truck on site to deliver water. No air conditioning. Luckily we had windows to get air in the rooms. No washcloths. Ask for washcloths on friday, Saturday. Never received. Would not recommend this hotel for the inconveniences.

This is a horribly run property, dirty, rundown ,water was brown. I do not recommend staying here.

Bartender was amazing! So friendly and engaging. Staff at the front desk… clueless! The property has NO restaurants unlike how they advertise. It was a huge disappointment. Great place for teens who want to drink in public and smoke lots of weed. I would Never bring a kid to this resort. It seems to be very mismanaged!! So many workers… yet, no one seems to be doing anything. I should have done my research! Don’t stay here unless what I’ve said is what you’re looking for!

The property has so much to do. One of the beds was unsleepable and they changed our room for us. Overall it was nice. I would stay here again.

We stayed in the Town Center. I was very disappointed. We didn’t check in until 5pm. Mind you…i prechecked in at 2:30. But check in is at 4pm. So I still I had to wait in line for 1 hr. The AC was not working properly. So it was hot in the room. The theater area had water dripping and the ceiling tiles open. The place is completely outdated. Not worth the money I paid.
