Shilo Inn Suites Ocean Shores

Check in with the oersin at the counter seemed strained he seemed like he was upset that we were checking in. There were no towels when I went down to ask for them it seemed like he was cery upset or put out that I asked for towels. We were ok with the lack of everything else.

The room had not been cleaned from the previous guests although the beds were clean. The bed pillows were old and funky. We had to ask the front desk for towels and soap. There was absolutely nothing in any of the drawers or cupboards as back up. Front desk person was grudgingly compliant when we asked for towels and soap. Not a property that's been maintained.

Last minute booking was good. Facility is showing some wear, no daily room service, and ran out of coffee pods for the room. Desk service at check in was friendly and courteous. Room was clean and nice view from 4th floor. Patio/deck was unusable due to moss chunks and seagull droppings, but appeared they were power washing.

Definitely not well kept. Run down outside, gardens and roofs unkept. No coffee, no cleaning of rooms for weekend 3 day stay. Ocean view with glass door and windows that had not been cleaned in a very long time. Restaurant and lounge closed.

Very outdated and run down. We had an ocean view but couldn't see out the filthy windows covered in bird poop. No amenities. Had to get towels from front desk. No coffee. Will never stay there again.

entire property in disrepair: poorly patched wall paper seams in room& hallways, water damage on ceilings incl surrounding a presumably hard wired fire alarm, moss growing in window tracks & gutters, scratched furniture with faded / pulled upholstery, scratched cabinets,no dishes/ utensils/ cups in room (we had to go out to buy some). ONE coffee packet for ONE cup in room for 2 guests/ 2 night stay,location “out of sugar packets". Freezer not defrosted / over accumulation of frost ( froze / ruined our vegetables).No blankets on beds or in closet, no bath towels in room, stained toilet, bath tub plug not functional, cracked lobby tiles & sidewalks, carpets stained in room & hallway, seams in elevator carpet squares were separating, inconsistent/ poor dusting, really cheap 1 ply toilet paper, 1 single employee on site overnight (security issue for them and guests) Employee reported only 1 front desk person at a time, 1 maintenance+occ asst, 1 housekeeper resp for 139 rooms. Employee paychecks frequently late or bounced. (Violation of Labor laws) with severe understaffing are they even getting mandated breaks? Landscaping not maintained. Exterior of bldg/ parking area/ windows not maintained. The only positives were the Pillows were comfortable and employees were pleasant while working in an untenable situation. Extremely disappointing stay. Shilo Inn has fallen far below reasonable expectations for upkeep, cleanliness, security, safety and basic amenities.

Only one set of towels in the room, and the room was dusty. And no coffee or tea was provided in the room.

It wasn't as advertised. The restaurant and bar were closed since 2020--- that should have been revised online. That is why we booked our reservation with them. There was water on the floor in front of the bar sink, the room was not very clean, no kleenex, they were out of coffee, and only two towels. So we end up switching rooms. The new room was better, but just run down. I wouldn't recommend staying there.
