Hampton Inn Harrisonburg - University

The beds were very hard. When we stay at a motel we like to have a very comphy bed. The whole room needs updating. The furniture and carpet look old. We were happy to have a mini fridge.

We were in a jam and needed a place to stay. Luckily we were able to get in. The staff was friendly and acommadating, very understanding of our situation. We would definitely stay here again.

Location

Dirty, broken down, door to room was hard to open, breakfast was subpar for price of stay, no fans in the bathroom, empty soap bottles and no way to close bathroom door tightly.

The Expedia agent needed to call the hotel several times bc my reservation was not in their system and then when it was - the Assistant Manager Nichole who was wonderful And very accommodating couldn’t click on the reservation to check us in.

It was not up to the usual standard of Hampton Inns.

I had a great 3-day stay at the Hampton Inn Harrisonburg hotel as I was attending a conference at James Madison University. In my experience, everything was nice and clean in my room, the front desk personnel were incredibly helpful and professional at all times. The workout room had lots of exercise options (including a peloton bike, which is awesome!) and also a water dispenser that provided cold, refreshing water, which was a big plus for me. It was also huge help for me that they had the laundry machine & dryer, so I was able to clean my clothing. Additionally, the breakfast service was delicious and helpful for me as I had to grab-and-go majority of the time. The only concern I had was I experienced complications with the water temperature in my room's shower. The shower water temperature seemed to only go very hot or cold, but I could not get it to a warm temperature. When I turned the lever to the centermost point (which meant it was in-between "hot" and "cold", so it should have produced warm water), instead the water coming out the spout was still cold. I made due with the situation, but I informed the manager because I didn't want the next customer using that room to have any issues or potentially get harmed by that situation. The manager said he would take care of that immediately. Other than that, overall great stay at the hotel, and I truly thank you all for your great service!
