We arrived late in the evening after a five hour drive. We were hungry and decided to eat in the hotel’s restaurant which was almost deserted. Midway through our meal , my wife yelped OMG “there is a mouse”. We immediately called out to the restaurant manager that my wife seen a mouse. His response was that because of the hotel being in a flood zone the possibility of seeing a mouse may not be so unusual. After the manager left, we decided to go up to our room. On our way up we went by the front desk and asked to speak to the hotel manager. The front desk person apologized for the incident and said that the manager was off duty. She also said we would be compensated for the inconvenience. We were so exhausted that we didn’t have the strength to check into a different hotel. We had a difficult time sleeping at the Sheraton, and the next day we checked out. The hotel manager called us and told us that he would compensate us with a 15 percent discount on our meal. My advice is to skip this hotel altogether.

Very clean, restaurants, bars and shopping near by and in walking distance.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience at the Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria was so disappointing that I feel compelled to warn others. From start to finish, the service was the most unprofessional and poorly managed I’ve ever encountered at a Marriott property. The staff appeared untrained, dismissive, and uninterested in helping guests. Basic requests were either ignored or handled incorrectly. I experienced serious issues with my reservation and billing statement, which were never corrected despite repeated attempts to resolve them. I specifically asked to speak with a manager multiple times, yet no manager ever returned my call. That level of neglect and lack of accountability is unacceptable. This hotel completely fails to meet the standards I expect from the Marriott brand. Instead of hospitality, I experienced poor service, broken communication, and zero follow-through. It was a stressful and frustrating stay that left me questioning Marriott’s commitment to quality. I strongly recommend avoiding this property until Marriott takes action to train staff, improve management accountability, and provide the level of service guests deserve.

The only thing I was not happy about was all of the fees especially on the parking. Everything about the Suites was wonderful except the fees and taxes.

Overall ok

No electric kettle in room...so could not make my own tea.Nachine did not have traditional tea Had cancelled one booking, tried separate company but probs...so rebooted. Hotel denied initial cancellation and wanted to charge twice.Insusted on manager being contacted.Resolved but got je cerg very tense...not good!!

One of the elevators was not operating.

I was just a little bit surprised that with the checkout being at noon that I wasn’t given a $25 food voucher for me to have breakfast on my last day there. I was given a voucher for the afternoon I arrived, and the following two days, but no voucher on my day of checkout maybe that’s normal, but it just seemed odd for me that I got a coupon on the day of check-in, but not on the day of Check out.
