Hampton Inn Dalton

Stained linens, loud noise from highway, outside entrance to rooms, dingy carpet, smokey smell despite a non-smoking room. I was going to tough it out for one night until I saw the stains on the duvet cover. I noped out and went to another hotel. One good thing I will say is that the desk clerk was kind, professional, and efficient. This just shouldn't be a Hampton Inn. It's not up to the standard.

I was disappointed. I always book a Hampton because they are clean and plush. This was old dirty and worn. Bathroom was dirty.

As a Hilton Honors member, we have always enjoyed our stays in your hotels. However, our last stay was not what we expected from a Hilton chain. We were traveling home from Florida to northern Indiana, and saw Dalton, GA was a midway point for an overnight stay. We went into the Hilton app , and booked the Hampton Inn at 1000 Market Street in Dalton. What a shock to us when we pulled in, as it did not represent the Hilton name. All doors to the rooms were on the outside of the hotel! I felt like we landed in a Travelodge or an older Motel 6! We would have cancelled the reservation, but after driving 12 hours, neither one of us was able to muster up the strength. We were given a third-floor room and took the elevator up......we weren't sure we were going to make it, as the elevator was screeching to a halt when we got up to the third floor. And, needless to say, our room was right across from the elevator. Upon entering our room, which was very cramped (not what we expected from a Hilton), we immediately checked the mattress for bed bugs. The mattress and box spring were so horribly soiled! So, we just laid on top of the comforter! Updates were done in the room, but it was like lipstick on a pig. The carpet was dark, so hard to tell what was on that also! After getting a few hours' sleep, we couldn't wait to check out of there, and get on the road for home. We would invite any of Hilton's upper management to spend a night there, so they could get the full appreciation of what we experienced. We still can't believe this property would carry the Hilton name! We have never had an experience in the past with any Hilton-branded hotel. We will be leaving negative feedback on any/all travel apps.

Breakfast was good. Location great. Just off the expressway.

Jose who checked us in was so kind, we checked in later due to travel through Atlanta and we had a 3rd floor room, he did ask if we are okay and that was fine, so appreciated him asking.

The paint was falling off the ceiling in the bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Two much noise from the interstate.

King bed very comfortable and great coffee! Location great!

Update needed for rooms- very worn out but fine for a one nights stay.

Close to expressway

Property facilities were very dated, looked like this was some other hotel at one time and converted to Hampton inn. Not what I would expect for their hotels.
