Best Western Plus Miamisburg-Dayton Suites, Banquets & Hotel

The room was large and furniture was comfortable. CrabTree and Evelyn products were a nice touch. The restaurant/bar staff were very friendly.

Service at front desk was terrible. No one ever answered the phone at the front desk. Our coffee pot was filthy at time of checkin and we asked for a replacement which never came even though we asked several times each day we were there. We had to have our key cards reset twice.

Had a good 2 night stay while visiting family. This is what I expected for a 3 star hotel in this area at this price point. I felt very safe. It was very quiet. Friendly staff. WiFi and TV worked the whole time. Room had microwave and frig which held all my stuff and heated up my leftovers. AC worked. Bathroom looked recently updated. Room was clean although sofa and desk and coffee table had signs of age/damage from use. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of lamps/lights. Could walk to restaurants but nothing was super close. Mall is across the street.

Booked at this property for one night while in town for a family gathering. (Glad it was only one night). Walked in and the place reeked of Marijuana , it wasn’t just a hint !! After some trouble with my digital key we made it into our room. Room was acceptable. Went to use a tissue, no tissues! My wife went to move the large bottle of hand cream on the vanity, the bottle was split and taped back together. Really! We went out for the evening and returned, key trouble again! Smell of Marijuana was overpowering! Front desk staff showed no emotion or empathy when I mentioned the odor. Almost like they were the person smoking!! Marijuana smell in our room and the hallways, horrid. Bed was marginally comfortable and the pillows should have been retired years ago. Marking this one off the list of places to stay when in the area. Note, we stayed here about 3 years ago, much, much better experience!

Not sure what the overall problem with this hotel was. I expect high quality from a DoubleTree and it was not available with this hotel. The high point was the food in the Bistro - outstanding to the point that we ate there twice. I suspect the hotel was under new management and possibly after some renovations. It seemed that many of the staff were training. They also seemed to be short staff, especially for cleaning rooms. Our room was missing some items and the couch bed was extended when we checked in. I am a CPAP user and the bed lamp sockets did not provide enough voltage to power my CPAP. A staff member had to come to the room, pull the mattress back, and then reach under the headboard to plug my CPAP. Ice Machines only on 2nd and 3rd floor and 2nd floor was inoperable. We were on 1st floor. Possibly the worst mattress we have slept on in years. Landscaping was almost non-existent. I would not recommend this hotel.

Hilton ought to be ashamed of this place. The problems go way beyond minor inconveniences. You're paying Doubletree prices but getting an off-brand sleazy motel experience. The common areas are filthy and piled with garbage. There's an abandoned car in the parking lot. The parking lot itself isn't lit at night. Our room had broken furniture (a three-legged table) or missing furniture (we didn't have lamps or any chairs) and the wall outlets were falling out of the walls. The sofa bed was smashed, and obviously had been for a long time. The pool was filled with moldy stagnant water. The fire doors are jammed open. The hotel managers we spoke to made excuses like "well, we've been doing renovations" or "some of the contractors here are sloppy" but there was no evidence of any construction being done on the property -- no building permits, no tools, no construction areas. The coup de grace was the smell of marijuana that permeated the entire complex for the entire three days. "We can't do anything about that," the employees told us. Really? You've got folks (who may or may not be guests) getting high in your darkened parking lot and you can't tell them to move? The smell was so bad one night we were getting physically sick. We would have gone someplace else, but it was Hamvention weekend and every hotel in Montgomery County was full. And Hilton is charging $180 per night for this dump! If Hilton gives a damn about its reputation, it needs to lift this franchise. As it is, avoid, avoid, avoid.

The room was a good size

The hotel was old, dirty, and not maintained. This hotel needs a renovation badly. The toilet in our room was not attached to the floor so when you sat down it moved. The walls are paper thin and you can hear the next room’s tv. The halls were dark and smelled of mold and mildew. There was a weed smell coming from the first floor back door that moved throughout the hall ways. The breakfast was over priced and gross looking, would never pay for what was offered. Breakfast should be included at the prices being asked. Everything was out of order (ice machines, coffee machines, etc.). Hotel was not easy to find and was not well lit. The staff was not very friendly especially at the front desk. The room numbers made no sense and were not in numerical order. Very disappointed for a Hilton property.

It’s a little outdated. Beds weren’t comfortable. Curtains wouldn’t close all the way. The people that worked there were very kind.
