Best Western Plus Miamisburg-Dayton Suites, Banquets & Hotel

I stayed at this hotel for a convention. I was one of the co-hosts and I was very disappointed with the rooms that our members were assigned. We visited the hotel in July 2023 (more than a year ago) and were told that all the rooms would be renovated to include new flooring, new furniture and walk-in showers. Many of the rooms, including mine, had NOT been renovated when we arrived. TI understand that delays happen, but there was no excuse for the poor service provided. I stayed for 6 nights and NEVER received housekeeping service, even though I specifically requested it half way through my stay. Two different mornings, I asked for fresh towels and they were put on the living room table in my suite, with the dirty towels left on the bathroom floor once, and then picked up once. Since the housekeeper walked into the bathroom it would have seemed she/he could have hung up the clean towels. The sofa was very soft and uncomfortable, particularly the right side - and the desk chair height adjustment didn't work, so in order to sit at my desk and use my laptop, I had to sit on pillows. The bedside lamps had plug outlets, but none of them worked. I have a CPAP machine, and it is only because I travel with two extension cords that I could plug it in the first night. The next morning I asked to have the lamp outlets repaired - after bringing a second - and then a third lamp of a different style, I had a power outlet that worked. The closet door didn't completely close and the caulking around the bathtub was very messy. One morning my toilet plugged up, which was immediately reported to the front desk, and at 4:45pm when I returned to my room, it had not been fixed. The breakfast buffet was "ok" but not worth $15. We held a banquet in the Destination Room - I was one of the first to be served and all of my food was dead cold, plus our menu request was for baked potatoes and we got "breakfast home fries". The last tables weren't served yet by the time of the break - and there were only 9 tables. We paid $64 per meal, which didn't include dessert or iced tea. The managers were pleasant and friendly, but there seemed to be no standards or supervision. Overall, a huge disappointment.

The property is under construction. My room has a slow tub drain. The paint job was hit and miss and the construction workers in and out made it impossible to sleep in..

The room was ok. The bathtub was gross. I wouldn't use it. And it looks like someone ripped the light over the bathroom sink out and left a huge hole

I was directed to enter thru a side door. Well, that is under construction! I walked thru pieces of drywall, wood, dust, debris, a skid of concrete bags... it was disgusting and I can't believe the board of health would allow this!!!

The front desk staff is nice. I feel bad for him. But this place is a poo hole. No linens or blanket for the sofa bed. The sofabed collapsed on a slant. We did get the front desk guy to come fix it. The drawers on the night stand were all hanging open. There isn’t really 2 rooms in the 2 room suite. The parking lot is dark. The one outlet in the lamp by the bed is loose. Horrible experience.

Right off the highway

We booked a 2 queen room online. When we arrived, we were given a king room. That wouldn't work for 3 people. We were then told they couldn't honor what we booked. They then said they had a room for us. It was supposed to be an upgrade at the same price as we booked online - it was a 2 bedroom suite. At 11:30 we were called by the front desk to verify who was in the room, and told that there was a mistake. The two room suite was spacious, supposedly just remodeled, but done very poorly. The finishes were poor and what little bit of furniture was there, was old. There was a dirty towel left in the one bathroom. The sliding door on the one room was very difficult to open/close. My daughter had trouble getting out of the room. There was no door on the other room. There was no handicapped parking available and we had to park a long distance away from the room. Then to top it off, we were double charged for our stay! Usually we receive an email to our account anytime we are billed or change a reservation. This one was just noted on our credit card bill with no email verification. It didn't show on our app as a cancelation either. It took 8 calls (the manager never responded) and Hilton finally refunded our money. I do NOT recommend this hotel!

Staff was not friendly. No carts for luggage. Pool was closed. Someone knocked on the door stating it was maintenance. They said they came to fix the air conditioner in our room. I said our air conditioner was working just fine. They said no you called and said it wasn't working. I said I did not call. You have the wrong room . They finally left.

This hotel is NOT a 4-star hotel! The entire hotel is under renovation and they are renting room that they think are fully renovated. This is a false assumption. Room 309: lighting over sink was dim, shower water pressure was a trickle, safe did not function. I could go on.
