Faraway Nantucket

I booked two rooms for a weekend in August—one a petite king and the other a queen for my family of four. When we arrived, we were told that our King was no longer available and that they were giving us two queen rooms in different buildings. I took my daughters to their room 504, which was quite petite but nice and quiet on the second floor. When we went to our room, which was located in a building near the lobby, it was small, cramped, and dark. Not to mention the people passing by while you were laying on the bed. Speakign of beds the mattress was horrible, the AC would roar on and off and the room couldnt hold the temp. There were no complimentary amenities, which one would expect at 1000K per night. I was told repeatedly that management would get back to me on a refund for the room. Guess what it is impossible to speak with a manager. I've called etc. Its like speaking with an ai chatbot. For the amount of money that we paid we could have stayed at another hotel on the island that was much nicer. Ridiculous. I would never stay here again. The only plus was the location.

We loved the hotel, the courtyard, and the proximity to all of Nantucket. It was an amazing location, with great rooms, great service, and a wonderful bar, restaurant, and lounge. All of the employees were wonderful as well. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Sister Ship the associated bar, was a great spot. The outside cushions were a bit dirty, but the staff was excellent and did what they could to keep things clean. The beds were comfortable. The shared bathroom space was a bit tough at times, and the bathrooms weren't great. Overall it was a great experience, I would stay again just not share the bathroom.

The area of the hotel we stayed at had shared bathrooms. We were not aware of this at time of booking. Most likely would not consider this again.

I liked the location of the property in proximity to the town, food, shopping and distance. Staff were friendly. We were very disappointed in the room. We were on the 3rd floor with a slanted ceiling which was okay but not desirable. The worst part was the air conditioning. It was HOT in our room at night making it an awful night's sleep. Thankfully we were only there one night. There is no fan in the room and no one to call in the evening to fix the AC. If we were staying another night we would have complained about the room. Very disappointed considering it was an expensive nightly cost for the room.

Location is great. Property is very nice, some staff are very helpful and very polite, others are rude and pretty useless. The rooms are really hit or miss. I’ve stayed many times in most categories of room, some again are good, some are tiny and many are noisy, partly due to the building layout and partly due to adjoining doors and very thin walls. I would stay again but it’s not one of the best hotels here, the bike use is a nice perk, but offered by many.
