Faraway Nantucket

We adored the property, the dinner at sister ship was outstanding. the lounge and courtyard felt special and we cant wait to come back.

Stayed last year and was very happy but noticed an upgrade this year! Lots of staff very professional and attentive , always love the water bottles and plenty of water options, and love the new complimentary coffee and tea! Would love the tea option for evening/nighttime as well! Room smelled and looked very clean! Definitely will stay again!

Positive that it was close to town. Service wasn’t great. Most of staff was not friendly. It was not accommodating to families with children. Just kind of “eh” all around. Probably would try a different hotel next time.

Although on arrival and check in, the hotel seemed wonderful and the staff were very pleasant to deal with, we learned upon entrance to our room that we did not have a private bathroom and would have to share a bathroom. Considering the amount of money we paid to stay at the Faraway and the fact that it is 2025 and we weren’t camping in the woods this was absolutely unacceptable and uncivilized. The shared bathrooms were not even equipped for multi person use- the sink was extremely small, there were no shelves for your toiletries, no paper towels for drying your hands and no hooks for towels/bath robes. I felt like I was in a college dorm. For this reason I would not be able to recommend the hotel to anyone going to Nantucket.

Excellent hotel!

Beware of this hotel, check in is at 4pm, everyone needed to store their bags and the lobby was so small so it was constantly filled with bags. communal bathrooms that were not clearly specified which made me feel fully unsafe. The staff seemed stressed. Also room was just a fail, one outlet, super cramped and not what was pictured. Overall everyone including me was on edge, there was a general vibe of anxiety

Had a great stay at The Faraway! Property and room are very clean, well appointed, generally comfortable, although extremely tight (as is almost everything in town on ACK). Appreciated the friendly, helpful service and convenient location.

Tiny king room size and poor amenities. You couldn’t open your suitcase without blocking access to the bed or exit. No surfaces to put anything on. Almost no closet space. We borrowed bikes and the seat height couldn’t be adjusted and a pedal was missing. Staff was average. The location is central and walkable.

Perfect location, great patio.
