"The hotel needs work!"

The heat in our room did not turn off. We had to constantly turn it on and off manually (3525). The shower head sprayed rough. The elevator inside the hotel card didn’t work smoothly. And the elevator didn’t work at all in the parking garage. My 88yr old mother had luggage and couldn’t carry or push two floors down. We helped her, but it was a huge inconvenience! However, the front desk clerk Gregory made things a little easier by offering free valet service. He was very patient and informative.

This hotel gave 5 star service very clean property Gregory at the check in desk was very helpful well mannered and displayed Excellent customer service he relayed clear instructions and directions to all the amenities on the premises he also had an upbeat personality made us feel at home

"Great hotel!"

I can’t say enough about the employees at this hotel. It was a cold evening when we arrived. I called down and asked for a blanket and they politely sent a blanket up immediately . Next morning I asked for help with the heater in the room. A technician showed up minutes later and showed me how to adjust settings. All the employees at the front desk, starting with Gregory, and the housekeeping staff were so accommodating the whole 5 days we were there. The rooms were sparkling clean. Great hotel and great service - a rarity these days!

"A stale memory of our Las Vegas trip."

Even after all the high reservation fees (that supposedly pays for the free water), they never cleaned or replenished our room even after requesting it up until our final night. They made no gesture to make it right even when asked and nickel and dimed us for a slightly early check in and check out. There is no coffee in the rooms which I find extremely cheap. The hotel in general smelled like rotten cigarettes and gave us a headache almost instantly. We never looked forward to returning to the hotel after being out. The elevator was obnoxiously loud all night and made it very difficult for my wife to sleep. We’ll never return to this one.

"It's okay"

I've stayed at the hotel before about five years ago and since then a few of the things have kind of gotten rough. In particular the queen bed which was clean was really worn out and had a bowl where people had been sleeping in the same spots and the mattress really needed to be replaced. I got little bars of soap to use for the shower which wore out in the first day and no one comes to the room to replace those things. It was not the experience I had years ago and it feels like the hotel has kind of slid backwards.

"Not what it was a year ago"

This was out 4th time at the Downtown Grand. It was our favorite place to stay and play. It has gone down hill fast. Rooms are still ok, but a little more dated. Drink service went way down hill. The dealers were much less pleasant, minimums went up and their rewards program was non existent.

"My favorite hotel in downtown Las Vegas"

I really enjoyed my stay at the Downtown Grand. The service, while always friendly and helpful, could use extra staff. The bellmen are fantastic. My room (in the casino tower) was clean and comfortable. (I need to try the gallery tower next stay) I had zero issue with the Freemont Street noise. No ear plugs necessary. If you can get a good rate, I highly recommend staying here. I'll be back for sure.

Super nice and friendly staff. Very prompt and courteous. They took of everything we needed. The room was clean and fresh. And well stocked. We did valet parking, and they too were super nice and helpful.

"Do your research and just stay somewhere else."

If I could Give a zero star I would give a zero star because first of all the towels in our room were dirty second of all when we woke up to go check out the elevator stopped working and we were on the 25th floor so we had to walk down 25 flights of stairs and then on top of that when we went to shower before we left, there was no hot water whatsoever. I have friends that also stayed at the hotel and they also told us that they had no hot water either so I know it wasn’t just us. We walked down the stairs with all of our luggage Talked to the front desk and we even talk to the manager and all they wanted to do was refund us $45. Very unprofessional and they weren’t sympathetic at all with our situation. The manager made jokes on how when he first started working there they made them walk up and down the stairs and he said that it was fun for him and I’m just thinking to myself were you carrying bags of luggage? Were you carrying all of your stuff down the stairs and did you pay $350 to do that? no. paid 350 to stay there. Never again.

"Terrible Hotel"

Shower never got hot, music from Freemont street can be heard in the room till past midnight, elevator was down, one bell hop on duty during busiest check in time (new years eve).
