Residence Inn Colorado Springs South

We're not difficult to please. All we ask for in a hotel is ac/heating that works, a bed that's reasonably comfortable and bug free, and working plumbing. The Residence Inn did not meet those expectations. Toilet didn't flush at check-in. Didn't want to move to another room on another floor so I borrowed a plunger. After a few minutes of working it more or less lazily flushed; there were black metallic scratches in the bowl indicating that it had recently been snaked. Went to bed. Woke up the next morning: no flush, just a lot of swirling water. Went back downstairs, borrowed another plunger, worked on it again until it flushed. Then we checked out. This room should have been blocked rather than renting it; I understood from (undisclosed staff members) that plumbing had been an issue for some time. Desk staff was friendly, apologetic and accommodating throughout.

Room pics look better than actual rooms. Layout was inconvenient for family of 3. There was a problem with internet. On Sunday breakfast service was poor. Overall very average to below average hotel.

This is a cozy hotel with big rooms, a full kitchen (dishes included) and comfortable beds. It's conveniently located near restaurants and a Target that are all within walking distance. Their rooms were clean and they serve free hot breakfast every morning. It's not too far from the COS airport. The staff are all friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place, and I would stay here again.

Room I was in had a water pump / air conditioning master unit, which was very noisy, and came on throughout the night.

The staff was wonderful. It was easy for us to get to the airport on a shuttle, but the room smelled of do urine. The carpet was filthy.

It was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. It was perfect.

Lately we have found some Marriott properties to be a little disappointing. This was another one. It is not a bad hotel. The room was clean, and everything worked. The building could use some spiffing up, but it was not yet shabby. The one person working the from desk was competent, but there should have been at least two on duty. There was nothing to make us want to stay there again, and the place is just poor value. They charge too much for what they deliver and add on a silly five dollar parking charge (for parking in a huge parking lot shared with a Fairfield) as a parting insult.

Family friendly, great location to activities, and kind staff.

The gentleman at check in was absolutely amazing. He was empathetic and worked with me after a 14 hour drive. I cant tell you how appreciative I am of people like him in the world. We need more of that. Thank you

When I’m in the Springs this is my go to stay. Perfect location to walk to dinner after a long day at work. There is also stores within walking distance. Breakfast is absolutely fantastic for a Residence Inn. Small gym was the only negative but I make it work. Great and friendly staff.
