Residence Inn Colorado Springs South

We were in Colorado Springs for 2 days and busy with tours and activities so needed a placed to crash. The two-bedroom, 2 bathrooms suite was great for a family of 6. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and kids enjoyed it. The hotel is nothing fancy but a good hotel for a family. Location was very central and lots of good food options and a target across the parking lot.

The hotel is 15 minutes away from the best parks in CS. The room was OK. No dishwasher detergent when we check in and had to ask for some more. For a five night stay, housekeeping came once. Breakfast OK. The building needs some pizazz. But if we had to stay here again that would be OK.

Very convenient for a quick trip. There was a constant roaring noise in our suite it was difficult to sleep and they seem to be trying to save on soap sticks.

The hotel was very noisy. You could hear everything in the room next door. It was also right on the highway. Our room only had one bar of soap. Usually hotels provide soap for the hand sink and one for the bathroom. The hotel looked tired . We paid $230 a night which was a lot and then they charged for parking on top of that. Not impressed at all with this place.

I was attending an event at the Broadmoor World Arena, I booked the Residence Inn because it was an easy walk from the rink. The location was very accessible and convenient with multiple restaurants, easy highway access, and even a Target if I needed anything last minute. Check in was easy. My one bedroom suite was very comfortable. I liked having the chaise wrap around on the couch and the little table that could be moved around. The kitchenette was small, but I could have cooked basic meals if I had wanted to. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very user friendly with a large vanity sink area separate from the private toilet and shower room. There was a bit of street noise from the nearby highway, but not enough to bother me. Breakfast was included but somewhat limited, I think they are still operating under some covid restrictions. Most of the food during the week was individually wrapped and microwaved before serving. They regularly had breakfast burritos, sausage and egg sandwiches, mini quiche and packaged waffles. They also had a big tureen of oatmeal, cold cereal, muffins, fruit and yogurt. I loved that the coffee and tea station was open all day, several times I had downtime in the middle of the day and being able to get a cup of tea and relax was perfect. While I missed the bigger buffets with fresh-made food and waffle stations, I get it and don't hold it against them. My only small complaint that kept this from being a five star review was with housekeeping/front desk. They only clean rooms upon request which was fine. I did request a clean mid-stay and it was promptly done while I was out. I didn't realize until I was getting ready for bed that evening that they took my used towels but forgot to restock me with clean bath towels. I was already undressed, although luckily not wet yet, before I caught the omission. When I tried to call down to the front desk I was on hold for almost ten minutes and then when I explained the situation to the front desk clerk she was quite brusque and said she was the only one on duty and she was busy, if I wanted towels I could come down and pick them up. While the fix was easy enough, I was still a bit annoyed.

Staff at reception were exceptional!

As expected. Clean room, good service and free breakfast. Location is close to restaurants and some shopping. Surface lot parking, so make sure valuables are out of your vehicle and doors are locked. Close to the highway and military installations.

We stayed while going to a show at the Broadmoore Arena. This was within walking distance of the event. Many dining options around. A huge movie theater. Awesome rooms with full kitchens, sitting rooms and big bathrooms.

Payed 600$ for a two bedroom suite. Ended up being over booked so I got a lousy two queen bed room and no further consideration for accommodating my needs.
