Diana from NYNY gift exchange is such a beautiful and welcoming soul, admist all the chaos and glitz and glamour of Vegas, she was someone that felt comforting and lovely to talk to while shopping. I picked up a bracelet to remember my Time at NEW YORK NEW YORK hotel. If you’re reading this Diana, “Jambo”! ❤️

Excellent stay, no problems at all other than the 6th floor soho room. Outside a huge part of the ventilation system ran all night

We stayed here for 4 nights, my husband had a conference and his company chose the hotel for the small group, and paid our tab in full. They booked us as a “group” and at check in we knew how this was going to go… He’s Ambassador status & Lifetime Exec. Platinum (25+ years) w/Marriott, so normally that gets us an upgrade 100% of the time. At check in they informed us we don’t qualify because of the group discount. Now I understand that in theory, but don’t you think it’s good business once you see his status, to tell us that then followed up with a “but” we will still honor your upgrade. Anyways… So our standard room was ready then (12n), high floor. The room- I’d say it’s great for a business traveler, a single man, maybe a woman who doesn’t pack allot, but for a couple it was tight for closet space. I can’t even imagine more than 2 people in this room. There was no couch, no bottled water, no clock, no glassware for brushing your teeth or a coke, no pen or paper, no extra blanket, no mini refrigerator, it was a stripped down room. The positive about the room- the bed was semi-comfy, the TV worked easily, good amount of lighting, yes the bathroom is very small and needs updating BUT the lighting to do my makeup was excellent! The shower water pressure was good. The towels were crappy quality but… I got to meet our maid (Maggy) and she was excellent. I asked her for extra towels and nicer ones (and I tipped her WELL each day) and she provided the best towels on her cart, 5 full sets, she cleaned very well, changed our bedsheets daily, checked in after she cleaned to confirm all was okay, and she informed me she’d be off our last day and she’d pass along how I like things to the new maid. So… she went over and above and I made sure to tell the front desk manager that she was a stand out employee. Frankly she cleaned better for the same tip I always give regardless of the hotel. The fitness center was basic. There are a lot of restaurants which is great, however all but the steakhouse (delish) and the Italian, were budget type restaurants like pizza, burgers, deli (they should have GF bread as an option), the sports bar (extremely loud), Mexican, Wingstop, candy store, Auntie Ann pretzel, etc, maybe 12 places to eat like this, so lots of choices for “fast” type food, which isn’t our taste. A positive is the hotel and casino wasn’t too smokey! It is a good location. If you looking for a budget-midrange hotel and don’t mind basic rooms then it’s probably a good choice. There is a Starbucks in the lobby. All of the employees we encountered were friendly. I felt safe walking around the hotel by myself, so that was a huge plus. We saw Mad Apple and it was very good (I did a separate review), actually exceeded our expectations. Gallagher’s Steakhouse was delicious. Taking a car service to/from the hotel/airport was easy, you don’t have to walk clear thru the casino w/your bags. 1 of the 2 elevators in the Empire Tower was broke the 4 days we were here, so it took a long time to get an elevator, wasn’t a problem for us as we were never in a hurry. Personally, we won’t return but we wouldn’t poo-poo the hotel either.

NY NY had everything, great food-lots of choices, good room with comfortable beds, very convenient to navigate, lots of slots, etc to choose from. We stayed there during NFR, so the atmosphere was good, and everyone was friendly. Loved seeing all the Cowboys and Cowgirls. Reasonably priced and a great place for a quick trip for business or pleasure. Definitely would stay here again.

Chose this hotel as part of Marriott. The room was very run down with a worn out mattress and wear noticeable on the furniture and in the bathroom. Poor dining choices for Marriott elite members. Paid $50 a day in resort fees, but the pool area was closed the whole time. The resort fee is just a money grab.

Nice place. Be sure to check the rates before you go, because there are much cheaper rates than what we paid for! Hopefully, your dates are flexible. No refrigerator, microwave or clock in our room.

Extremely poor customer Service , we had move rooms 3 time bed sheets were dirty, was promised a fridge it never showed up, we spoke to 2 different managers and still got zero results.

Rooms very clean! Staff friendly, make sure you get a room higher than the 7th so you don’t have a wall as your view. Great choices of restaurants.

New York New York is a reasonably priced modern hotel with many food options. The NYC theme was done well throughout the hotel. The hotel is located at the north end of the strip with easy access bridges to MGM GRAND and Excalibur. From Excalibur, there's a free convenient tram that takes you back and forth to Luxor and Mandalay Bay until Midnight. You can also walk to Park MGM next door and catch another free tram to Crystal Shops, Aria and Bellagio/The Cosmopolitan. The rooms were stylish and clean but the bed was too worn out. I sunk in and felt tilted when laying down. Room 2661 in New Yorker tower was a bit noisy because it was facing the Arena at the back of the hotel. You could hear the music and the game horns so I would not recommend staying here when there's events going on. The rooms do not come with a mini fridge which was a bummer if we had leftovers. The America Diner was an affordable restaurant option that's open 24 hrs in the hotel. Their corned beef hash was the best we ever had. They also had a nice selection of donuts. The staff was very friendly. We also had a nice Porterhouse steak at Gallaghers. Must make reservations but we were fine with eating at the bar. The Pizza shop is also conveniently open late every night if you need a quick bite to eat. We also paid for daily parking which was convenient for $20 per day. You can go in and out throughout the day/night as well as park at all the MGM properties using the same parking pass We are disappointed because my husband left his jacket in the the room and we tried to contact the hotel a few hours after we left but the jacket was not turned in. I left a few messages and filled out a lost and found report. I really wish housekeeping would do the right thing and turn it in immediately and that the hotel would be proactive and contact the guest who recently checked out immediately instead of waiting for people to inquire and go thru the process of filling out a lost & found ticket and hope to find a matching item for each ticket.

Had a door in my room and heard my neighbors having sex at 2:58 AM heard their conversation very clear then the sex and moaning and groaning from both. I don’t know why, but it was irritating. Then every machine my husband and I went to losing all of our money the whole casino was silent and somber. There was no one, gasping of an exciting time we walk in past no money in anybody’s machines everybody just hanging on to 20 and $30 in it it was a bit ridiculous and I don’t wanna go back. The best thing about the hotel is the housekeeping. They are very nice people and inviting checking in at the service desk is horrible. It’s always two people in a lot of 12 they have got to do better with this.
