Santo Mauro, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Madrid

What a beautiful hotel with great staff and attention to detail. Particular mention to the fabulous Isabelle who checked us in and showed us the room and took care of all our requirements with a winning smile..Top class! A unique palace experience.Food in the Biblioteca restaurant just fantastic…Sweetbreads were my favorite , , anchovies and tomatoes bread, steak with Foie Gras and the Stone fish were also excellent . Staff and surrounding great, a real treat.

Absolutely beautiful hotel located in a quiet neighborhood. Staff was excellent. Property has spectacular outdoor spaces and garden to enjoy. Only negative is the food was delicious, but extremely expensive. We enjoy staying on property for breakfast but it was $55 per person. Continental breakfast is an option, but still over priced.

The location is excellent. The overall property is lovely although a bit tired. The rooms were in need of an update and were slightly dirty. The restaurant was pretty, condescending wait staff and mediocre food for the cost. The outside area is lovely and unusual for the city location.

El Mejor hotel de Madrid, es espectacular y el servicio excepcional

This was, without a doubt, one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. Everything was superb from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. It’s a relatively small boutique luxury hotel set in an old royal palace. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very well appointed. The lobby is elegant, yet quaint, with nice seating areas to relax or to have a drink. The inside restaurant is set in an impressive library. The outside restaurant is set in a beautiful courtyard. It has the ambiance of a countryside chateau. The service throughout our stay was outstanding in every way. The staff knew us by name, were extremely friendly, and consistently went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. They helped with directions, recommendations, transportation, and reservations. We can’t say enough good things about this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience, and will definitely look to stay here again if we return to Madrid.

Located in an upscale neighborhood but also around the corner from small boutiques and cafes, this hotel is a stunner. The hotel was recently renovated in an opulent manner, reminiscent of the belle epoch, yet it feels fresh and modern. The staff are genuinely helpful, friendly and efficient. Unbeknownst to us, they realized it was my daughter's birthday and left balloons and a small cake in our room. Attention to detail does not get any better than that. A plus for me - it is not in the tourist hub-bub area of Madrid but the Prada and Thiessen were a nice stroll away for those who enjoy walking. Also the grounds encompassed lovely green spaces for out-door tea or cocktails. Obviously I will return.
