Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach - DoubleTree by Hilton

Sketchy. Surprised this is part of the Hilton brand. Building falling apart, security lax.

We spent one night here when flying home from a week in Marathon, spent a lot of time checking out Hilton properties in the area and reading reviews. Chose this property and our welcome told me I picked right. When we walked in there was a sign welcoming me specifically, that was very nice. Lisa could not have been nicer checking us in and taking care of us. We went out and walked around for a bit and was resting in the lobby and she stopped by to check on us to make sure we were set and had everything we needed. After dinner we went up to our room and there was a plate of carrot cake and a happy anniversary card, we had mentioned our trip was to celebrate our anniversary. It was so nice. The folks in the restaurant could have been nicer but Lisa really made everything ok. We stayed in the main tower and the room was big and well kept. It was perfect for a one night stay.

Location is perfect - across the street from the beach (2nd floor walk path) or just a hop, skip and jump across the street. Have an outdoor eatery - pizza- sushi, lobster rolls, burgers and shakes (yum! Recommend the chicken burger with avocado and sweet potato fries). Bahia Mar was so clean and everything was in their place. Walking distance to shopping and well the service at the front desk is absolutely spectacular! Ruth greeted us on on way in and checked us out on departure. Ruth made my son's birthday so amazing with balloons, free dessert and a cute gift! The service is amongst the best i have had a d their complimentary cookies were so yum (oatmeal chocolate chip) -pro-tip as the check in desk-- warm ones under the check-in desk. Sad to hear that they will be closing in April 2027-8 to build condos :( Ruth, thank you so much for everything!!!

I recently had a great stay. Ruth at the front desk was warm and welcoming. Her attention to detail and kindness truly made a difference. Omar at the pool bar, was friendly and attentive. Overall, the excellent service from Ruth and Omar made this stay enjoyable. I would absolutely return and recommend this hotel.

Our stay at the Bahia Mar hotel was truly delightful. The staff collaborated wonderfully to ensure our experience was most enjoyable. I extend my gratitude to all team members, including Lavonda, Luck, Lisa, and Wendy, as well as the housekeeping and valet teams. They consistently treated my daughter and me with professionalism, friendliness, and a constant willingness to assist throughout our visit. We felt genuinely welcomed. I would wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to my family and friends, and we would certainly choose to stay here again. Their pricing is quite reasonable, and the exceptional hospitality made every penny we spent there worthwhile. Excellent work, everyone!
