The Ricardo Marriott DFW Westlake

I had a long journey and a 4-hour flight to get to this hotel, only to find out upon arrival (April 29th, around 5 PM) that my reservation had been canceled without my knowledge. I had booked through my company’s travel app (Navan) about a month in advance and received no notification—no email, no phone call—about the cancellation, which I was told was due to renovations. The woman at the front desk (long black hair, half tied up) asked if I had received an email about the cancellation. Frankly, if I had, I wouldn’t have shown up. She then informed me I would be sent to their "sister" hotel about 5 minutes away (in reality, it was closer to 10 minutes by car), which completely defeated the purpose of booking this hotel in the first place—it was chosen specifically because of its proximity to Varispace for a business trip. When I arrived at the new hotel (The Southlake Marriott), the front desk had no record of a reservation for me. I then spent 30 minutes on the phone with a Marriott Westlake representative trying to sort everything out. She was incredibly helpful and reassured me that the original reservation had been canceled without penalty, and that no charges were made to the company card on file. However, I still had to use my personal credit card to make a new reservation at the second hotel. The way this situation was handled by the Marriott Dallas/Fort Worth Westlake staff was unacceptable. There was no communication about the cancellation, no reservation made on my behalf at the alternate location, and no ownership or real apology from the front desk staff. I left feeling incredibly frustrated and disappointed. I’ve never experienced anything like this before, and I will not be booking here again.

A little to isolated and you cann0t self park, have to use valet parking

Always enjoy the facilities, the staff, and the service. But, the rooms could use a couple of changes. Looking forward to the renovations bringing more counter space in the bathrooms and softer mattresses.

how quite it is

Make sure you are aware this hotel is being renovated. Our room was clean, but very old and outdated. It definitely was not worth the price, in my opinion. We stay at a lot of Marriotts, so I guess we were expecting more, especially based on the photos on the website and app.

Cold showers, ants, unsafe, dirty, poor services , never stay here far better places nearby even if their remodel works which is doubtful

This hotel was under construction and renovations. No front desk, crowded, there was a conference going on right where the lobby area was. The rooms are older, garage is spooky and small.

This hotel is under construction until 2026 and nothing on the website tells you that. Front of the hotel is literally a construction dumpster Pretty much all the amenities are unavailable and it's obvious they stopped doing repairs to the rooms 3 years ago due to the remodel coming up. Sink and counter was cracked in half and glued back together, leather ripped in the chairs, stains, hair in the shower, etc. I've stayed at nicer Motel 6's in the middle of nowhere. I would have left immediately but the booking was through my work and I was not able to change it.
