Mackenzie was a one man machine on all fronts, which at the same time could be a negative if you’re impatient. Never had a Parmo before but it was awesome and the chips were cooked beautifully; one of our friends had a BBQ chicken pizza which she was never going to finish; and in general the portions were very generous. I didn’t make breakfast but the wife & daughter said it was excellent.

I think they could do with more staff for unforeseen busier periods and the parking spaces are incredibly random with too many bollards to open your door into if you have a clumsy passenger (but can’t grumble about free parking)

Perfect position in Escomb. Clean and comfortable room. Bathroom was on the small side and needs updating.

The food especially at night was very poor.

Nice friendly staff, good food and drinks selection. Good location for Bishop Auckland.

Breakfast service a little slow, the waiter explained an unexpected hospital admission, that said it was worth the wait and delicious 😋
