Sonesta ES Suites Dallas Central Expressway

The room was clean and the area was close to restaurants and stores. I didn’t like that we weren’t able to get clean towels when we needed them. We had to go out and buy towels during our stay.

Not a bad facility. Room layout was good. Had a two room suite with each having a bathroom, kitchenette, living area with a desk and dining table. A TV in each room was nice. Seems a little dated/old, but functional. Found a couple of mini-roaches walking around. Grounds also seemed a little lacking in upkeep. Breakfast was very basic. Waffles and oatmeal with coffee, milk and juice.

It was ok except the breakfast options was awful . They had milk toast and waffles. None of the hot foods or yogurt they advertised.

2 bdrm, 2 bth suite. No facial tissues in either of the two bathrooms. Bath towels in only one bathroom. Four clothes hangers in one closet, none in the other. No cups/glasses in either bathroom. Exhaust fan did not work in one of the bathrooms. TV did not work in the living room. Light over stove did not work. Coffee maker, but no coffee, cream, or sugar. No note pad or pen in room. Sewer overflowing on sidewalk as I left. Change in ownership, rumored section 8 housing. STAY AWAY!

They gave me the wrong room and it took 2 days for them to change it even though the manager walked with me to look at available rooms and when I picked a room she then said they weren’t available. There were no towels, hand towels, toilet paper, tissues and only one pillow on the bed and nothing available for the pull out bed. When I asked for these items the night manager informed me that the manager didn’t order a truck. Late the last night the manager finally moved my room which was infested with mosquitoes. Complained and was told it would be fixed the following day. Me believing this, ordered the room for another 4 nights, the mosquitoes are still here.( After talking to the neighbor the mosquitos have been a problem for a very long time.) This room was very very dirty. Since the only towel that was in the room (the one for the floor in front on the tub) I went and bought my own, I placed that towel in the floor, took a shower, got out and then placed it over the edge to dry, the bottom of the towel was black. So I went and bought a mop and a bucket to clean the room myself. I mopped the bathroom floor 3 times before the water was not black anymore, the kitchen area took even more mopping.

The location was the reason I booked this facility.

No kleenex, no dishwasher soap, no coffee or coffee filters. No housekeeping, no trash pickup. Multiple light bulbs burned out, and front desk said they were only one on property so they could not come change bulbs. The way to deal with this was to have us move to another suite after we had already unpacked. So, we moved to another suite, also with multiple light bulbs burned out. I had to bus my towels to front desk to get fresh towels. Two days in a row, I took my towels to the front desk during the designated hours to be told that they had no towels available. Multiple excuses of washing machines broke, no staff available to wash towels. After reading about the "delicious complimentary breakfast" and photos showing a hot breakfast with eggs, biscuits, breakfast meat, the ridiculous breakfast that I found included 3 sugary cereals, 2 bagels, 6-8 pieces of bread, 1 banana/apple/orange, 2 juices, milk, coffee, and instant oatmeal. No eggs, no pancakes/waffles, no yogurt, and no one to keep the area clean and stocked. The advertised, "enjoy a dip in our outdoor pool", was impossible as the pool was GREEN- closed. There was no general manager available to talk to about the issues, and the management company was only an answering machine with no response to recorded messages that I left.
