The lack of cleanliness is an issue. Some of the attitudes of the staff could be better. Better than some of the surrounding hotels, but not the worst. Not a good look for this brand. Please consider upgrading the rooms. Sprinkle on the ceilings are rusted. Tubs need resurfacing.

Very nice and clean. Front desk clerk was very nice and professional.

Our room smelled and the floor was cracked around the toilet. The toilet was dirty and there was hair everywhere.

Room reserved was not the room we got. Property failed to do anything about it. Microwave was broken, no ice machine on 3rd floor. Pool was closed, waffle machine broken. Roll away bed was broken.

Although the competition for worst hotel in Hattiesburg is probably pretty strong, avoid this hotel at all cost. I discounted the previous reviews thinking 1) it’s got the Marriott label, how bad can it be? Apparently very bad. And 2) we’re just in town for two nights for a kids’ soccer tournament, we can survive anything. After arriving late tonight, I’m not so sure. I almost dread seeing this place in the daylight when the sun comes up… Despite traveling the world over and staying at hotels all across the economical to luxury spectrum, I don’t bother writing reviews- but this experience warrants one. So, pay attention to the recent feedback. Look for any “newer” hotel in the area, even if it’s not a Hilton or Marriott-affiliated property. Consider yourself warned.

The breakfast attendant was behind. We only had few min to grab breakfast and items were out and she was taking her time to replace them.

Good room, good price,(thanks to Expedia). Really good staff
