DKI had a really great stay at Villa Dubois Guesthouse. The room was clean, comfortable, and I really appreciated having my own private bathroom. The house itself has a cozy, welcoming feel and it’s well taken care of. Check-in was smooth, communication was quick and helpful, and I felt safe and at home the whole time. I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Chicago.
USI booked with this owner. Never stayed at the unit, because they wanted me to "zelle or vemo" a $500 deposit for a one night stay. I request a refund and they did not give me a refund for the down payment made to rent the unit for one night.
USGreat location in Bronzeville, close to local shops, restaurants, and the lakefront. The area is vibrant and diverse, and the place was spacious and very clean. It made our trip to Chicago even better.

USThey scam people asking for a security deposit via Venmo that they say will be refundable but then they refuse to refund it claiming damage to the property. We have pictures of before and after. The call we got about a deposit seemed sketchy. This place should be shut down.
PEThe space was comfortable, the location was convenient, and checking in was simple. Be aware is a share apartment, if you are good with that you are going to like this place.
We didn't like that two days before arriving they asked for a security deposit ($300), it needed to be made by zelle or venmo, or Paypal. We did the zelle, really beacuse we didn't have more options... After our stay, I tried multiple times asking for the times and procedures for the refund of our security deposit, I had no response, or they just keep asking for us to leave a good review... I had to put a complain through Booking to finally got contacted and got our security deposit back.
