Hampton Inn Norfolk/Virginia Beach

Breakfast was amazing, clean room, nice staff and easy parking

This was the worst Hampton that I have ever stayed in. The toilet ran the entire two nights and three days we were there. I called the front desk the first night and asked for somebody to check it, the guy said they were the next morning. No one came so Tuesday afternoon. We called again. The front desk and a gentleman came out and said oh it’s a slow fill toilet and I said it’s been filling for over 29 hours. Then when I drop something on the floor, I went down to get it and realized somebody who was there before us Left a pair of socks under the orange chair that was in the corner of the room. Then in the bathroom, the trashcan liner fell in, and I realize that they never really emptied or clean the trashcan from before, they had just put a new bag over it because there was a razor blade cover a, toilet paper roll, and a few other things still in the bottom of the trashcan. Also, I had gotten a shower the first day and used our towels, and they told us that they only clean the room every other day, so I did not know that I had to call and place an order for towels, so I could get a shower with clean towels for the next day. Even in cheap hotels, I’m used to having clean towels, daily, trash changed daily, just your average tidying up. I will be traveling and I’m sure back to Virginia beach again, due to my son is military there. I can guarantee you I will not be staying in this hotel, even though it is the closest and most convenient hotel to my son‘s apartment.

The staff was absolutely amazing ♡ The woman at the counter was one of my favorite parts about this stay! I love that they kept coffee in the lobby! Beds were.clean and comfy!

They had great options for breakfast but the area you grab food is in a small cornered room, it was hard to get in and out. The pool door wouldn't unlock with the keycard and there is no other way out, we had to use the emergency phone to have someone come save us 😆

Just stayed one night and it was perfectly lovely. Really liked the gym… usually get slim pickings from smaller hotels, but they have free weights, kettle bells, treadmill, bike, and even a bosu ball and foam rollers! Clean all around.

Good service, clean and convenient location. Great value.

It was mid summer and we don’t run the AC very cold. Our particular room was unusually humid and damp. When we turned the ac down to 70 it dried the room out some so it became acceptable The property is very nice and breakfast is solid. I’m not a big conplainer but this was a unique experience and likely had to do with our particular room.

We had to switch our room five times. The first room, was filthy. The bathroom was hair all over the floor food behind the bathroom door some black stuff all over the back of the toilet area stuff splashed underneath the sink some stuff stuck to the wall underneath the sink bathtub was dirty. It was disgusting the air conditioning was so bad that we could not breathe as stuffy. My husband has severe asthma and sinus issues as well as I have sinus issues. They moved us the next day not that night to another room which had the refrigerator was not working and the television didn’t work then they switched us to another room that air conditioning system was the same as the first room was not working well so then they switched us to another room that room. The television didn’t work. Finally the next room where we just had enough, we went into that room. There was water all over in the rug where the air conditioner was you had to keep the air conditioner temperature on 57 in order for it to even work well and then there was bugs in the bathroom and in the room we have videos of the bugs and the way that water was in the room. If you stepped on that rug, your foot got soaking wet. We are now at the emergency room because it’s caused my husband asthma problems, breathing problems. He has a respiratory issue going on now.
