Staybridge Suites - Columbus - Worthington, an IHG Hotel

Wants to be up to other Staybridge hotels. Average stay but not equal to other Staybridge hotels we have stayed in. Could use a good cleaning especially the stairwells. The bed was comfortable. Plenty parking. Close to I-270. Coffee was cold at 730 am for breakfast. After pointing that out we did get hot coffee 10 minutes later. Average hotel stay but typically Staybridge would be a 5 star review.

The was amazing! Very clean and roomy

After a seven-hour drive, I arrived at the hotel where we had reserved a suite a month in advance. However, when we arrived, the room was uncomfortably hot, and there was only a portable air conditioner, despite our reservation for a suite. I approached the receptionist for assistance, but he was unhelpful and responded to each inquiry with, “I can’t do anything for you. You can talk to the manager tomorrow morning.” When I asked, “How can I sleep tonight?” his response was the same.

Incomplete, dirty room, pool with mold and no maintenance. Poor service, incomplete and late breakfast. Unsafe

Dirty, pool out of service, air conditioning broke

Started out with a room facing the highway. It was kind of loud so asked to change to an inner room. The bed was very nice but the room smelled like a cigar and the hot water was sporadic. The free breakfast was tasty and Monica at the front desk was extremely helpful. Good location.

The staff was very unhelpful. The breakfast was out of almost everything. There were no drinks available. The eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy were out by 8am and never refilled. And there was a broken outer door that let any one walk into the hotel from the street.

The hotel cancelled our reservation at 11:30pm the day of the reservation without notice. We arrived at the hotel at 11:30pm, after an 8 hour drive. When we arrived, the hotel told us they overbooked and we had no room. Check in was at 4pm but they did not try to contact us in any way before we arrived at night. The hotel did not suggest other hotels in the area or help in any way and we had to scramble and call hotels on our own. Most hotels were booked up because of the state fair. This was a horrible experience and we will never boom here/with this chain again.

Nice

The deskman on duty at our arrival was nice and friendly but things definitely went downhill from there. The hallway to our room smelled moldy. Then we opened the door to the room and were greeted by a portable air conditioner and a fan. There was a dirty glass in the sink and flies in the room probably from the air conditioning duct. At least the bed seemed clean and we were only staying one night. Breakfast area was not cleaned. Lesson learned - we should have read the reviews before booking.
